Lexi had been shaky and nervous for the rest of the days at the track and even when they moved over to Singapore, she had been looking around her all the time to see if she would spot Mark. Charlotte had reassured her that he had been arrested and wouldn't bother her anymore, but she just needed some time to adjust to the idea. Both of the races had gone well for the team and Lexi was proud of her boyfriend for still holding P4 in the driver's championship this late in the season. Lando and Lexi had arrived home from Singapore about an hour ago and they were currently unpacking their suitcases, something Lexi wanted to get out of the way immediately. "Why have I let you convince me to do this now, again?" Lando said, sighing deeply while rubbing his tired eyes because of the jetlag. Lexi laughed, approaching him slowly before she placed her arms around his neck and buried her head against his chest. "Because we can go to bed afterwards.." She whispered in his ear before planting a soft kiss on his pulse. Lando groaned and continued emptying his suitcase with a deep sigh.
A couple of hours had passed when Lexi turned around to find her boyfriend cuddled up to her back while still snoring softly. She squirmed her way out of his grip and quietly opened the bedroom door to move to the kitchen for a cup of tea. She cleaned a few things while the water was boiling and didn't hear the footsteps behind her until he was really close. "How about we go on a little date tonight?" Lando asked while taking her in his arms. "Hello to you too!" Lexi giggled as she turned around in his embrace. "A date sounds wonderful". She said while kissing his cheek lightly and Lando grabbed his phone to make a reservation at the restaurant they loved so much. "Tonight, 8 o'clock. I'll pick you up, miss". Lando said while he brought her hand to his face to kiss her knuckles. Lexi giggled, she loved this silly side of him and she couldn't wait to dress up tonight and let him take her out. She had missed their little date nights and after all the stress of the last couple of weekends, she could use some distraction.
Lexi was folding their clean laundry when she heard her phone ring. She looked at the screen but didn't recognize the number. She hesitated to pick it up, still afraid it could be Mark, but she remembered Charlotte's words and took the phone in her hands. "Hello?" She asked softly before she heard a male voice on the other end of the phone. "Is this Lexi Abrams?" He asked and she confirmed that it was indeed her. "Hi, my name is Jonathan and I work for Liberty Media. We have a business proposition for you, if you are interested?" Lexi gasped and nodded before she realized he couldn't see her. "Uh, yeah of course. Can you tell me more about it?" She almost whispered. Jonathan told her about the new commercial campaign Liberty Media was planning on doing for Formula 1 to try and get more new viewers. They wanted her to be the official photographer because they loved the work she was doing for McLaren.
"Oh my gosh, that sounds amazing!" Lexi said, more enthusiastic this time. Because it was a part-time assignment, she wouldn't have to leave her job for McLaren so she knew it would be okay with them if she took this opportunity. "I would love that!" She said. They discussed the details further before Jonathan told her he would be in touch and hung up. Lexi jumped around the room a few times before she shot to Lando's streaming room where he was playing some games. He was streaming and she didn't want to interrupt that, but she had to tell him the good news. She knocked on the door and Lando told his chat he would be right back before he muted his microphone, got off the chair and moved over to the hallway where Lexi was still jumping around. "What's going on baby? Why are you so smiley and jumpy?" He asked, laughing at his girlfriend's behaviour. "I-I j-just g-got a call.." She started before bending over trying to catch her breath. "I just got a call from Liberty Media.." Lando's eyes grew big when he heard that name.
"They want me to be their official photographer for the new commercial campaign they're launching next year!" Lexi said and she threw her arms around Lando. He had a huge smile on his face and took Lexi in his arms. "That's amazing, baby! I'm so proud of you!" Lando said before he pushed her off him for a second to look into her eyes. His hand caressed her cheek softly before he cupped it and leaned in to kiss her. He couldn't believe that his girlfriend had done this, all by herself. Just because her photos were THAT good. "We're celebrating you tonight". He said and Lexi's cheeks grew a little blush. "I'm going to get ready, okay?" She said and kissed him once again before turning around to head to the bathroom for a shower. When she was done washing her hair, drying it a little with a towel and moisturizing her legs, Lexi stepped out of the room, heading towards their closet. Liv had sent her some new items of Peachy Apparel, so she decided to wear one of the new dresses.

"Miss Abrams? Your date has arrived". Lando said when he met her in the hall around 8 o'clock. Lexi giggled while walking down the stairs and when she got to him, he grabbed her hand and let her spin around to get a good look at her outfit. "Wow babe, tell Liv I love the dresses she makes, but without you in them, they wouldn't be half as beautiful". He said, kissing her knuckles like he did this afternoon. "I don't know.." Lexi said while looking down at the floor. She had lost some weight because of the stress she had been in the last couple of months, so she felt different. She had always been insecure about her weight, not being able to gain a lot but she could tell she had been feeling a lot less like herself lately. "Look at me.. " Lando said while his fingers lifted her head to look him in the eyes. "You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my life. And I'm not just saying that because I am your boyfriend. I have never seen anyone as pretty and cute and sexy as you, all in one". He leaned in to softly kiss her lips and Lexi's mouth turned into a smile. "Thank you, baby". She said. "Now, shall we go milady?" Lando said, holding out his arm for her to hold on to.
The date was lovely. They were sat in a little Italian restaurant and talked about everything they had gone through together. Some memories from when they were kids, their 'first' meeting at the MTC, the McLaren event where Lando realised who she was, their first date, the beginning of their relationship and even their breakup. It made Lexi realize that without that break, they wouldn't have been as strong as they are now. Lexi had grown a lot this past year, she turned into a woman. Having her first real job, her first boyfriend, experiencing everything for the first time together and now even living with him. Lando raised his glass at her and smiled when he cleared his throat. "To my wonderful girlfriend, the best photographer in the world, one of the strongest women I know, my rock, my best friend and the love of my life". He said before they clinked their glasses together. Lexi's cheeks grew a deeper shade of red and she looked at the boy in front of her. "I love you so much, Lando". She said to him and he grabbed her hand before he moved closer towards her, leaning over the table whispering in her ear. "I love you too baby, now can we please go home because I'm desperate to get you out of that dress".
