"The way that young boy behaved at dinner last night was unacceptable." "He was simply stating his opinion mother." "We do not need his opinion Marinette. We've been ruling France for years and no one has ever made any complaints."
"How would you know father? You don't care enough to talk to our people. You only talk to the rich and the royal, but here's a bit of helpful information, they are not the only people you're supposed to care about."
"Calm down Marinette." "I am calm, but I'm just saying-" "France is doing amazing because we are the ones running it, not because of the people." "Without the people there would be no country for you to run."
"That boy is obviously getting into your head." "You are not to see him again." "You can't do that-" "We can and we will!"
"This is so unfair! If I am going to become the new leader I should be able to speak to whoever I want!" "When you become Queen then yes, you will be able to speak to anyone. Until you've proven to us that you've grown up, you must follow our rules." "But-"
"End of discussion. Now, we arranged a meeting in the town square, so you are to accompany us. If you see him, you are to not say a word to him. Do you understand?" "Yes mother." "Now go get changed." I nod and walk to my room.

"Princess Alya and her family went somewhere earlier, so only Princess Chloe will be accompanying us today." "Yes mother." "It's an honor for you to request me to join you today Your Majesties." Chloe says as she curtsies. "It's an honor to have you join us." They say as they curtsy and bow.
~~
"Why are we in town square?" Chloe asks as we get out of the car. "I have no clue. Anyways, you'll never guess what they forbid me to do." "What?" "I can't speak to Adrien." "What! That's ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!"
"I know, but I can't do that. He already thinks the royals are snobs and if I don't even say a word to him then he'll think I'm one too." "I don't think he'll think that way Dupain-Cheng." "You don't?" "I can tell he likes you." "No he doesn't."
"Yes he does. He literally only talked to you last night and during that very unpleasant dinner he never took his eyes off you." "So you think he likes me?" I ask with a smile. "Yep and I think you like him too."
"I do Chlo. I really do. He's like a breath of fresh air. When I'm around him I don't have to be the perfect princess that my parents want me to be. With him, I can just be me." "We will find a way to get you out of this arrangement and you will be able to be happy with him. Don't worry." "Thanks Chlo."
"Feel free to walk around girls, we have business to attend to. When we need you we will have one of the servants call you over." "And don't even think about talking to that boy. I ordered the guards to keep an eye on you at all times." "Yes mother." I say and they walk away.
"Now! Let's go find your Prince!" Chloe says and I giggle as we walk towards the bakery. "He's over there, but he looks busy." I say as he carries a box inside.
"Just walk over to him." "The guards are watching." "Your mom said they're watching you and no offense but your parents aren't clever enough to show them a picture of him.
"You're right, but he's working." "Can we at least go inside then? Everyone is staring at us." "I thought you liked attention." I tease. "I do, but I'm not in the mood to deal with big crowds right now." She says.
A little girl with brown hair tied into pigtails approaches us. "Can I have a picture?" She asks and a guard starts walking over. I hold up my hand to stop them.
