"Master, there is someone waiting for you downstairs," the house-elf spoke after the young Malfoy opened the door at him.

"Is it Magda?" He brushed his blonde hair with his fingers as he walked out of his bedroom without sparring another glance at the old house-elf.

The little creature shook its head, "I'm afraid not, master. It's Mr. Avery."

Abraxas didn't say another word but wondered silently what his friends wanted as he ran down the stairs. They were together the previous night playing cards, so what could he possibly want?

He walked to the living room, where Alcides Avery was waiting for him, and seemed very agitated, "What's wrong?" He saw his friend's red eyes and wet cheeks.

He gulped before gaining the courage to answer him, "I-It's Seraphina, something happened to her."

2 hours earlier

"So all I have to do is lay down here and wait until you do whatever you have to do?"
She watched Tom as he finished levitating the furniture somewhere else, so they would have more space in the middle of the living room.

The wizard nodded his head while he opened an old book on his hands on a certain page, "Yes, exactly. I will even say the words for you. All you have to do is lay there and wait for the process to finish. Now, you will most likely stay unconscious for a few hours, but I don't know what will happen to me for sure."

Seraphina nodded her head with a small smile, "You will be fine. You're immortal, after all."

He walked to her and placed his warm hands on her cheeks, "You will be too after I become your Horcrux."

The grin on her face did little to hide her excitement, "I can't wait for all of this to be over."

Tom's hand found the back of her head as he brought her body closer to his. Feeling relieved, she took a deep breath and buried her face on his neck. He kissed the top of her head and caressed her back softly, "I will make you happy again, Seraphina. I promise you."

Tom didn't know what possessed him to say those words, but he couldn't bring himself to let her go just yet. He had always been thankful for everything she did for him, but at that moment she was so much more than that. Truly, Tom Riddle felt like he didn't anything else in the world as long as he had her, the most precious thing in his life. The only gift he ever got except for his magic. But even his magic was what it was because of her. She was the one who taught him the right way to use his powers. It was her who helped him with everything, despite who he was and the way he treated her sometimes.

It had always been the two of them, two similar souls, two great minds, two equals. And it was a shame he didn't realize it earlier.

Seraphina looked up at him and kissed the corner of his lips, "You know you always made me happy."

Tom frowned, not wanting to believe her words. How could she say that? How could she say that after being him who caused her illness? He didn't deserve her love and that was why he didn't acknowledge it. He simply couldn't.

He brushed her hair out of her face and shook his head, "Don't say that. You are much smarter than that."

The young witch made a small smile, "It's true, Tom. You are the most important person in my life. Destiny wants us to be together, don't fight it."
