44| a Saturday night with you

"Tom, you're kind of scaring me with all this rush. You didn't even let me have dinner in peace," Seraphina complained as Tom dragged her to the lavatory on the first floor by her hand, "I'm not even going to question how you found out the opening to the chamber was in the girls' bathroom," she said as they kept walking in a rush.

"It was merely an accident," Tom pointed out and she rolled her eyes.

"So you accidentally ended up in the girls' lavatory? That's interesting," she commented sarcastically.

"I was patrolling the first floor when I heard noises in the lavatory," he started explaining, "I went there to see who was breaking the rules and I found a third-year from Ravenclaw inside crying her eyes out. I obviously had to take points from her and told her to leave immediately. That was when I went to wash my hands in the sink and saw the snake patterns on it. Now I had been looking around the castle for such a long time for the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets and never found such a thing. You see, that lavatory was one of the only places I hadn't searched, so it occurred to me that maybe that sink had something to do with it. And I wasn't wrong."

When he finally finished explaining how he found the chamber, they were already in front of the lavatory, "I'm honestly scared," she said as he opened the door and they stepped inside the empty lavatory.

"Don't, I won't let anything happen to you," he closed the door and the pair walked towards the big stone sink.

"Tom, as much as I appreciate you trusting me enough to tell me about your secret chamber with the giant beast, I'm not sure if I want to go inside a sink."

Tom ignored her complaints, "Are you ready?"

"No."

Once again, he ignored her and started speaking parseltongue to the sink, she couldn't understand a thing he was saying, but she knew what he was doing. She had heard him talking parseltongue too many times in her life and it wasn't a surprise that his unusual skill had something to do with opening Salazar's chamber. After all, Tom was his heir, and only he had the power to open it.

Seraphina stepped back as the sink started moving slowly, her eyes wide as it started getting larger and creating a secret entrance. Merlin, it was really happening. When the big sink pieces finally stopped moving, she stepped closer to the entrance and gulped when she couldn't see the bottom of the giant hole, "Are we supposed to jump?"

"Yes. I'll go first and when I reach the bottom I'll scream for you to follow me," he said, placing his feet on top of the stone. Seraphina looked at him with fear in her eyes, "Did you hear me?"

"Yes, I did. Are you sure this is safe?"

"Trust me, darling, it's absolutely safe," he reassured, before jumping inside the dark hole. Seraphina gulped when he disappeared and she was left alone in the cold lavatory. After a few seconds, she finally heard his voice, "I'm here! Jump!"

She sighed deeply before slowly getting up on the stone, "Merlin, stay with me," she prayed, before closing her eyes and jumping on the large hole.

She felt the wind on her hair as she fell on a surface and realized she wasn't jumping towards the bottom of the entrance, she was actually sliding towards the end. It only took her a few seconds to reach the bottom and suddenly it felt way colder than before.

Seraphina harshly fell on the ground and opened her eyes to see where she was. It was very dark and she couldn't see Tom. The floor felt very uncomfortable and when she looked to see what was scratching her back she felt like throwing up. Was the floor seriously covered with dirty bones?
