Right, before anything else I need to explain that this story happens in the last two years of Hogwarts.
And even though Tom found out about his family in the fifth year, I want it all to happen in the sixth and seventh years.

People looked at the sixteen-year-old girl marching towards the school library with an angry face. It was normal for her to have students looking at her since it happens all the time.

She knew she looked different. Her olive skin with a slight tan contrasting with her light brown almost blonde hair was an interesting characteristic for everyone. The way her hair was light while her skin was slightly darker from all the days she spends outside burning her skin, not on purpose obviously, made people comment. And then she had those very notable freckles that couldn't go unseen by anyone. Lastly, what people admired the most were her eyes. Her family actually wasn't satisfied with her eyes, since most of the members had one blue eye and a green eye or maybe a light brown one. But no one has ever had a black eye and a green one, it was too strange for them.

But this time people didn't look at her because of her looks. They were looking at her because of the mad look on her face, she looked like she was about to hex someone and it wouldn't be the first time.

There were two reasons why most of the students were scared of her. Firstly, she had a dangerous temper and whenever someone annoyed or hurt someone she cared about, she would lose control. Secondly, Tom Riddle's devotion to her also scared everyone, unbelievably. Even though everyone found Tom a gentleman and charming boy, the truth was that he had problems when someone got too close to Seraphina.

He would always be discreet because he couldn't ruin his immaculate reputation, but the looks he sent to anyone who would spend too much time looking at her could make anyone freeze to death.

She opened the library doors, not caring if she made too much noise and walked towards the table in the back where Tom was usually studying, "Tom Marvolo Riddle!"

Some students looked at her and even if they wanted to tell her to be quiet, they couldn't.

Tom raised his eyebrows from his book for a second before focusing his gaze on Seraphina. Sighing, he ignored her and kept reading his book.

"What is wrong with you?" She asked when she stopped walking to stand beside him. He didn't bother to look at her and she snatched the book from his hands, making him rub his temples in an attempt to calm himself and look at her, giving her his undivided attention.

No one would ever do that to him, but she knew she could because he wouldn't hurt her, at least he wouldn't hurt her as much as he hurt others, "Give me the book, Seraphina," he extended his hand for her to return the book and she scoffed.

"Do you like to see me miserable? Don't you want me to be happy?" She asked and some students kept looking at her with questioning looks, finding it weird that she would talk to him like that. Everyone respected him too much to raise their voices at him, even the professors.

He wanted to roll his eyes, but he kept his composed posture, "Quit being a spoiled girl and give me the book back."

"No!" She exclaimed and he closed his eyes for a few seconds, trying not to lose his temper.

He sighed in defeat, "What have I done now?"

"You must be joking, Tom. Please tell me you are indeed joking."

He shrugged one shoulder, "I wish I knew why you're so mad, Seraphina, but I really don't," his voice was laced with sarcasm and he did nothing to hide it, which she didn't appreciate.
