34| Malfoy's Manor part I
Watching Seraphina from distance, Tom couldn't help but wonder if she truly was the only good thing he had the right to own since he was a toddler. He grew up with nothing and no one to care for him. But everything changed when he confirmed he was special and started attending Hogwarts. And out of pure luck, the Slytherin princess took interest in him, the poor orphan boy.
However, as he watched her arguing with her cousin Marcius Dolohov he denied he had luck meeting her. It was destiny, for no one could ever understand him as she did. For the first time since he met her on the Great Hall, he saw her as an equal. And that was saying a lot.
He smirked when he saw her gesticulating furiously with her arms across the ballroom. Everyone else was quietly enjoying themselves and there she was, in an apparently tense debate with her cousin. Dolohov rolled his eyes when she said something and turned his back to her, leaving her to follow him with an angry face towards Tom.
"Riddle, would you believe my dear cousin befriended a Mudblood?" Marcius, who graduated one year ago from Hogwarts, questioned Tom. Seraphina joined them a couple seconds later, immediately joining Tom by his side, who placed an arm around her waist.
"I'm aware," Tom answered, "But I believe the mudblood showed her true colors. Didn't she, darling?"
"Layla was a bitch to me, but was not incapable of doing anything for being a muggle-born," Seraphina argued, making Dolohov chuckle.
"Merlin, I can't believe this," he placed his hands on his head, "How did you allow a mudblood to be a bitch to you? Seraphina, I thought you didn't allow anyone to talk back to you. What happened to my dear cousin?"
"She had a rough few months," Tom commented squeezing his arm around her, "But she's back now."
Seraphina rolled her eyes after smacking Tom's arm, "I had a good change. I'm a good person now," she said proudly, "Thanks to my sweet friends Leo Greengrass and George Weasley."
"Sure you are," Dolohov mocked her, "You were just telling me a couple minutes ago how disgusting Davina Black looks tonight. And then you gave me a very graphic description about what you wanted to do to your cousin Genevieve and I don't think I'll sleep tonight because of that."
Seraphina's cheeks turned slightly pink when she heard his words, ashamed of her slightly violent words, "That doesn't mean anything, because a good person will want to throw a rock against Genevieve's head."
Tom smiled with her words, "A good person won't throw rocks at anyone's head, Seraphina," he pointed out and she looked up at him, "An intelligent person would, though."
"Look at that bitch," Seraphina exclaimed when she saw Genevieve dancing around with Mulciber, "I'm much better looking than her, right?"
Tom and Dolohov shared a look before the second answered, "You look the same."
Seraphina snapped her head to look at Dolohov and gasped, "Take it back, take it back now! She's ugly!"
"Your words, not mine," Dolohov shrugged with a grin. He truly missed his younger cousin, "But she's not ugly, my dear cousin. In fact, she's very good looking. Don't you agree, Riddle?"
