8| The girls' lavatorySeraphina walked along the long halls at night, after her encounter with Leo and she couldn't say she was even the slightest scared of the dark halls. In fact, Hogwarts looked even more beautiful at night, when everybody was on their dorms.
She wondered about what secrets Hogwarts held, for she had always identified a mysterious aura around the school. It was like there was something deeper than anyone could see and the curious witch yearned to discover every single secret.
The ancient walls told her for how long people have been walking by those hallways. Weren't they curious about the true story of Hogwarts? The story that wasn't written on the elegant words of Hogwarts: A History.
She made a small smile remembering all those times she wandered around these very same walls with Tom when they were little, trying to uncover supposed secrets. He would always tell her that they would be remembered for finding something special together in Hogwarts. And she believed him, like always.
Since the first time they met, his words have always been sacred to her and that explains why she always believed everything he said, even if they were sweet nothings.
Oh, how she misses him. Seraphina knew she shouldn't because he treated her disrespectfully. But she couldn't stand those small talks they had in the last weeks in the Great Hall. Yes, she had new friends and they were quite fun and different from what she was used to. However, she was fond of that similarity she used to feel when she was with Tom.
Unlike everyone else, Tom understood her deepest desires and he wouldn't judge her dark side, the side of her that wanted to be powerful and remembered for doing great things. She was ambitious and cunning, just like him. And her friends from the other houses were nothing like that. In fact, it was like there was an empty space inside them when they talked about the future. They wanted simple and mundane things, which bored her.
She wished to be great and unforgettable by Tom's side, as equals obviously. But now that fantasy seemed too distant to even be considered. It was also an innocent dream, but it still was something they both really wanted. However, he into it too far and way more seriously than Seraphina. She never minded, though, because that was Tom and there was nothing she could do about it.
Nonetheless, now that they aren't as close as they used to be, she sees it more clearly, and the fact that he only keeps people close by interest worries her.
Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard the door of the girl's lavatory opening. She was about to hide because it could be a prefect and she didn't want to lose points for Slytherin. But she stopped walking away when she saw it was indeed a prefect, but the tall handsome one with hazel eyes.
"Tom? What are you doing here?" She asked walking towards him and he raised his head to look at him. For a few seconds, he seemed surprised, but he quickly covered his emotion with an unfazed expression.
He waited for her to reach him and ignored her question, "Isn't it past curfew, Seraphina? You know I can take points from Slytherin, right ?"
She rolled her eyes, "You wouldn't," He raised his eyebrows and his eyes told her that he, in fact, would take points from his own house in a blink.
"What are you doing here? I'm a prefect, I have the right to be here. But you aren't," he crossed his arms in front of his chest and waited for her to answer.
