Jacob Bae

{ His parents }

Since Jacob is a foreigner, you still haven't meet his parents even if it's been more than a year since you started dating each other. You talked to them twice, but it's not like really meeting them. However, the time you will meet them is probably not soon, because Jacob have a busy schedule and you can't fly to Canada every day.

You were at home and Jacob had Kevin over. They were in the living room talking about Jacob's birthday being on the corner. While they were occupied, you plannified what, you, wanted to do for his birthday.

"Baby! Baby!" You turned around and saw Jacob holding two papers in his hands running towards you. You immediately closed your laptop and look in direction iof Jacob. "What?" You were getting worried, even if his face was showing no signs of bad news. He arrive next to you and was out of breath.

You showed him to take his time and tell you what is going on once his lunges will be in service again. He listened to you and showed you the papers closer to your eyes. You still didn't get what they were. "What are those?"

"They are ticket to go to Canada." Jacob's smile at this moment was one of the most beautiful thing you ever had the chance to see in your life. "Canada?" "YEAH!" "How?" As excited as you were to finally discover the place where your boyfriend grew up, you were wondering how it could happen.

"Kevin gave me tickets so we could go, for my birthday." That's fantastic. "Does that inclued me? You and Kevin could go see your family... maybe I could try to get a ticket right now and get in the same plane as you-"

"Do you really think he would be a gift for his birthday if I wouldn't have inclued you?" Answered Kevin for Jacob. "Are you coming with us?" "Unfortunately for you, yes." While Kevin was answering all your burning questions, Jacob was on his phone to inform his parents that he will be there soon.

"But your job? Can you leave?" you asked for the desesperation of Kevin. "You have more questions than Jacob had. I asked for the permission to leave. And before you ask, we are going there for two weeks."

You smiled at the last thing Kevin said before looking at Jacob. His face couldn't light up more. "We're going to Canada?" you asked him. "We are." You went for a kiss and you heard Kevin being disgusted of it in the background and in answer, Jacob smiled in the kiss.

You just placed your luggages in the place reserved for it and you sat next to Jacob. Kevin insisted to be the one next to the window and he has solid arguments, like "That way, Y/N and you will be able to kiss and give each other affection without me wanting to throw up." That is what convinced Jacob.

Even if there still a lot of time before landing in Canada, you are already stressing on meeting Jacob's parents. "Are you still stressed?"
"Yes" "Is it because of the plane or something else?" It is true that flying high on the sky is stressing you out, but it can't compare to the stress you feel, because of the meeting with his parents. You just smiled in answer and he knew. "I already told you, they will love you, they already do! I'm even wondering if they were more excited to see me or you."

His joke worked, but didn't make the stress go away. "If they can love me, they'll love you."
Said Jacob's best friend. He was trying to make his pillow comfortable, but looked like it failed multiple times. Jacob took your hand when the plane started flying and you were surprised  to not feel scared.

After 13 hours, your butt started hurting, so you were really happy when you landed. Both Kevin and Jacob were excited to be back in the country where they grew up. "Bro, do you know where is the other entry I have to take?"
"I don't know, you should ask to a flight attendant."

You weren't aware that Kevin was leaving you. You know you and Jacob aren't going with him, because you are in Toronto and this is where his family live. "You aren't coming with us?"
"Vancouver and Toronto aren't near of each other... I need to go." You were kinda sad that he was leaving.

"But don't worry, you'll see me again once we will be back in Korea." "Of course we will, go you can't miss your flight." Said your boyfriend. 
"You're right, bye guys!"

You both waved him goodbye in harmony and as he walked he was getting smaller.
"Ready baby?" You gave all your attention to Jacob again an nodded with energy. You're ready to meet his parents. Well you think you are...

His brother was waiting for you at the entry of the airport and he was the one that was going to drive you to their parents. "You most be Y/N"
You nodded shyly and Jacob came to your rescue. "Are mom and dad home?" "I hope for you, because I don't have a key."

Jacob and his brother kept talking together and you followed them to the car. They both sit in the front seats of the car, so you took the backseat. You took the opportunity to look at the new landscape. It was not that much different from Seoul, but it's still different. You don't what in all those people walking you found charming, but so far, you really liked it there.

Jeff pulled in the driveway of a little cozy house and stopped the car. You understood you were arrived. The oldest got out of the car first. Jacob still in the seat in front of you, turned to face you.

"Are you stressed?" "Somehow..." "If you feel inconfortable just tell me okay? They will understand." You nodded and thanked him. You saw Jacob's brother holding your luggage and you got out of the car to help him. "I'm okay, I'll let you and Jack meet our parents."
He winked and disappeared in the house.

You were waiting for Jacob to get out of the house without ease and a voice asking "They are arrived?!" made your anxiety come back. Jacob came at the right moment, to hold your hand. His mother and father came outside with their arms wide open.

"Y/P is/are even prettier in real!" Said his mom. She had a sweet smile that immediately calm you down. Even his father looked really kind and welcomed you both. Jacob's mother hugged you tightly and you thought it was a good sign, she must liked you.

"You must be tired, come inside and rest."
"Mom, we're okay..." he yawned and it betrayed him. "Go take a nap, your mom will wake you up for souper." "Thank you." Said Jacob. You were silent, because the stress was freezing you in place.

You followed your lovely boyfriend upstairs.
"This is my room." You smiled and look all around you. You imagined a young Jacob spending his days singing in there and it warmed your heart.

You took a really good nap in the arms of Jacob and you were a bit embarrassed by that when Jacob's mother came wake you up.
"Lovebirds, it's time to eat!!" Jacob waked up being confused but when he understood why you were blushing, he laughed and pecked your lips. "Let's get downstairs."

The table was well dressed and you sat next to your boyfriend and in front of nothing. The food was deliciously good and you restrain yourself of eating more of it. You complimented the food to the cook and Jacob's mother thanked you.

After diner, you proposed to help with the dirty dishes. His mom agreed and you got left alone with her soon enough. You were panicking inside, but try to not show it at all.  "I remember the first time I met *Jacob's dad name*'s parents for the first time. I was so anxious, I bet you are too." She said.

"I do." "Well, don't be. I know it's hard to do, but I like you." She stopped what she was doing to look straight into your eyes. "You make my son happy, I see it deep inside his eyes. I can't ask for something better. And I am really grateful to you to put happiness in his life."

You were really touched by her words. "I'm really grateful that you let me in your family, it is a real honour." She smiled. "Plus, you know how to talk with us. What are you anxious about?" She joked and you laughed. It went much better than you expected.

"Is everything going okay here?" Asked Jacob as he made his way in the kitchen. "Of course, do you know you have a lovely Y/Gfriend?" She asked to her son and you blushed. "Yeah, I know..." he looked at you and you blushed even more. He came closer to kiss your cheek before disappearing again.
