ANNAGRACE REID

"dude, you've been laying on the floor for, like, thirty minutes," mia chuckled as she looked down at me, gently kicking my side. "what's up?"

"i miss billie."

she rolled her eyes. "you're seeing her in a week. you'll be fine."

"i know, but, dude." i looked up at her, trying to gather my thoughts before i spoke. she raised a questioning eyebrow. "i forgot what i was gonna say. fuck."

she shook her head with a laugh. "of course," she kicked me again. "get up. let's go do something."

"like?"

"i dunno," she shrugged. "to be honest, i kinda wanna fight someone. or watch a fight."

"bro, all we did was fight in high school," i laughed. "how are you not tired of it?"

"yeah, but that was two years ago." she pointed out.

"i guess." i shrugged.

i sat there for a moment. i thought back to billie's birthday.

"you want me to beat his ass next time i see him?"

"i do." she hummed.

"you for real about wanting to see a fight?" i asked.

"yeahhh." she said slowly.

"c'mon then." i jumped up, pulling on a pair of shoes.

she quickly followed me as i left my room. "hold up, ag, where are we going? what do you have in mind?"

"you'll see." i told her as i walked into adrian's room.

"adrian, my lovely twin." i greeted with a grin.

he looked up at me from his desk where he was playing some game on his pc. he gave me an unamused look. "what do you want?"

"i can't just be nice now?" i raised a brow as i placed my hand over my heart.

"you only call me 'your lovely twin,'" he mocked. "if you want something."

i let out a sigh. "you're right. okay, so, you've got seven's number, right?"

"yeah, why?" his brows furrowed.

"i'm gonna need you to text him to meet you at that park that's close to here." i told him.

"why?" he questioned again.

"because i'm gonna beat his ass."

"ou, hell yeah!" mia exclaimed.

"now, ag—" adrian said at the same time. "why would you do that?"

"he keeps trying to get in touch with billie again. i've done beat his ass one time, but that obviously didn't work. now, tell him to meet me at that park. please."
