it's now the day after i had went to billie's dorm to see why she was ghosting me. we haven't talked since then; neither of us had made the attempt to.

i hadn't because i needed time to cool off. i had gotten pissed over the reason why she ghosted me, and so to stop myself from snapping at her, i haven't talked to her.

i think billie hasn't tried talking to me yet because she realized that i needed a bit of time to cool off.

i let out a sigh as i walked through the dorm hallways. i heard a door open, so i turned my head to look in the direction i heard it from.

i watched as kaylee stepped out of her dorm. her face was bruised, cut up, and swollen. she also had a cast on her hand for her middle and ring fingers.

i'm guessing billie fought her.

i wonder how bad billie got beat up.

i also wonder why she fought her. was it for talking to me? that's a bit excessive. breaking her fingers for talking to me? damn.

she looked over to me, her eyes widening once she noticed me. she immediately turned away, keeping her head down as she started walking in the opposite direction.

as she should.

i pulled my phone out of my pocket, clicking on my only favorite contact.

"hello?" billie asked with a rasp in her voice.

"hi," i greeted. "uh, are you at your dorm? i'm ready to talk... again."

"yeah, come over then." she mumbled.

she definitely just woke up.

"alright, i'll be there in a few minutes. bye."

"bye." she let out a sigh as the call ended.

i shoved my hands in my pockets as i walked to her dorm. i pulled my keys out of my pocket as i reached her dorm and used my key that i had to unlock it.

"hey." i said as i walked back to her room. my eyes widened as i saw her. "god damn— kaylee got your ass good."

she gave me an unamused stare. i tilted my head. "are you good? have you put any medicine or anything on your cuts and shit?"

"no, i haven't." she shook her head.

"jeez, bil, you're gonna get an infection or some shit. c'mere, lemme put some on for you."
