"i think we should try and take music more seriously," finneas told me. "i know we already posted 'ocean eyes' and 'six feet under' but..."
"yeah," i nodded. "i want to take it more seriously too. maybe i can get the fuck out of college with it."
but then again... if i did get out of college, i'd be leaving ag there. i couldn't do that.
"maybe," he gave a grin. "but even it doesn't, you've only got two more years; that's not too bad."
"that's two years too long," i muttered. "i don't get why the fuck mom and dad made me go there. it's not like i'm gonna use a damn business degree. fuck i look like doing that?"
he let out a sigh. "i dunno why, bil. let's not get all worked up over that right now, alright?"
"yeah, whatever," i rolled my eyes. "have you came up with any new song ideas?"
"kinda," he held up a finger before moving his spinning chair over to his desk to grab his notebook. "i've got 'sitting all alone, mouth full of gum in the driveway. my friends aren't far, in the back of my car are their bodies.' but i'm stuck on where to take it."
i thought for a moment. "wait— what if it's 'my friends aren't far, in the back of my car lay their bodies'? you know, like i just murdered all my friends."
he gave me a weird look, then smiled. "i think you might be on to something there." he pointed at me.
