i let out a sigh as i scrolled through my phone. i was sitting in adrian's dorm, listening as he played music. the current song ended, so it went on to the next.
"i've been watching you for some time. can't stop staring at those ocean eyes."
i nodded my head along to the song. whoever this is, can sing really good.
"yo, who sings this?" i asked adrian, looking up at him.
"billie."
"you're kidding, right?" my eyes widened. "you're talking about the same billie that we're friends with?"
"yeah." he chuckled.
"woah," i mumbled out in shock. "her singing voice is so different from her talking voice, wow. like, her talking voice is a lot deeper and raspier, while her singing voice is just... angelic, dude. what the hell? she sounds so good."
he let out a laugh, so i furrowed my brows. "why are you laughing?"
"nothing," he waved me off. "just you being so shocked."
"well, can you blame me?! i never knew she could sing, especially this good! how many other songs has she released?"
"just one," he shrugged. "it's called 'six feet under' and it's good too. it doesn't have as many plays as 'ocean eyes' though."
"how many does 'ocean eyes' have?" i questioned.
"it's nearing twenty thousand." he informed me.
"damn." i mumbled, still in shock.

"hi." i greeted with a smile as billie sat next to me.
"hi, ag." she smiled as she started pulling everything she needed out of her bag.
"when were you gonna tell me that you could sing?" i teased.
she stopped, halting her movements. she turned from her bag to face me, a confused look on her face. "how do you know i can sing?"
"adrian was playing 'ocean eyes' earlier this morning, so of course, i asked who sang it and he told me you did." i explained.
"i didn't wanna tell you just yet." she whined, making me let out a laugh.
