Time's up! (A Clone Wars Fanfic)

Part 8- Doctor Vindi and the Virus

"We're already here, lets go, we can't let him get away!"
"Could've informed me you were coming, but ok!"

They started going in the direction of the landing platform, it's a logical conclusion. As they were nearing the coordinates of the platform they could see him standing on it as it ascended, grinning at them. He threw one of the bottles with the virus thinking, or hoping, that they'll lose him. Melian jumped to catch it and her master was still running after him. Vindi closed the door before Anakin could catch him. "Great" Anakin sighed and started cutting thru the doors.

Ahsoka and Obi-Wan came running
"The bombs were activated, but the bomb squad has got it. Where's Vindi?" Obi-Wan asked. Since her master was cutting thru the door,  Melian answered
"On the landing platform, that's right behind this door. But master's got it. Vindi threw one of the bottles to slow us down" she opened her hand which had a bottle of the virus.
"Here, I'll hold onto it" Obi-Wan took the bottle, it's safer with him anyway.

Anakin finally cut thru the door. The landing platform was already way up and Obi-Wan jumped on it. Vindi did the same thing as earlier, threw 3 bottles of virus. Obi-Wan jumped down and caught them.
"You two, stay here!" Anakin instructed Ahsoka and Melian. He jumped on the platform, and Obi-Wan followed him. They were out of sight now, the platform had ascended all the way.

Ahsoka, Rex, the clones and Melian went back into the lab to find Padmé. "Where are Anakin and Obi-Wan?" Padmé asked them when they met.
"They're being the hero's and saving the day, like always" Melian laughed a little, and her wrist comm buzzed.
"Melian, we got him."
"Great news Master! Are you taking him to-" an alarm interrupted her.
"What was that??" Anakin asked over the comlink. She looked at Rex, searching for an answer
"There's a bomb missing, and it has a virus bottle in it"
"I saw Vindi give a bomb to a droid!" Padmé remembered.
"Master, stay where you are, we'll take care of it. Everyone after that droid!".

They were running thru the lab in search of the droid that has the virus with him. Suddenly, a loud *boom* was heard and the lab shook. An even louder alarm went off. They all knew what it means.
"Everyone, get to a safe room, now!" Rex warned them, and they were on the go.
"Melian what's happening?" This isn't the right time for a call but whatever. While running, she answered
"Master, you remember that droid with a bomb? Well, the bomb exploded and we're on our way to a safe room!".

The door to the safe room closed.
"I hope everyone made it inside, because we are not opening those doors" Melian tried to lighten up the mood with some jokes... that didn't go well.
"No, no! It seems some of the virus got in! We didn't close the door fast enough" a clone said with disappointment. Melian looked at Rex, then at Ahsoka. This isn't good...

"Ahsoka? Can you hear me?" Ahsoka's wrist comm went on.
"Padmé? Are you alright?"
"Yes, we were already in the safe room when the alarm went off. How are you?". Ahsoka looked around, two clones were already coughing and were not looking well
"Unfortunately... infected"

"We're in front of the safe room" Padmé informed us. Melian sighed
"Open the door". The door opened with a loud sound. Padmé and Jar-Jar in suits came in. Padmé put her hands on Melian's and Ahsoka's shoulders
"I'm so sorry"
"It's okay, but we still have a job to do. We have to stop the remaining droids from breaking out and spreading the virus" Melian said, trying to sound like she's not scared, even though they all could easily die.
"Yousa be okee-day. Wesa save all of yousa" Jar-Jar tried to comfort them. Melian looked at him and smiled
"Thank you Jar-Jar"
"Lets get onto saving the lab and Naboo, shall we?" Padmé answered with a smile, they had to hurry and save everyone.
