Part 16- Finally!

Rex and Melian have been talking every day. These have been the longest three weeks of her life. And she still has at least one more to go before she can see him again! Melian took the chair Ahsoka and she had in their room and placed it in front of the window. She sat there, watching the sky, waiting for him. She knew he wasn't gonna come yet, but she did this every day for the past week. Today felt a bit different. She couldn't pinpoint what tho. And she simply didn't care. All that was on her mind now, was Rex.
"I, uhh- I have to go, to the uhh..." Ahsoka was trying to get out. Melian turned around and looked at her disappointed.
"Didn't I teach you how to lie? Come on Ahsoka, you're not gonna fool anybody like that!" Melian laughed a bit.
"Well what're you waiting for, go!". She also laughed, then got up and left. Melian was still sitting on front of the window.

Suddenly she felt a tingle, the Force was trying to tell her something. Melian closed her eyes and listened to what it has to say. Something, or someone with a bright appearance in the Force was approaching.
"I love you Force!" she whispered, as she knew who it was right away. But she stayed seated, her eyes glued to the sky. 

Melian knew that sound well, it was the door opening. While turning around, she couldn't help but smile. There he was, standing in the doorway, his smile from one of his ears to another. She was slowly walking to him. They didn't say a word, but their smiles said everything they couldn't. Melian now stood in front, looking up at him. But instead of hugging him, she jokingly slapped his shoulder
"What took you so long?". They shared a laugh. But she knows nothing can feel as good as his hug. So she just gave in. He wrapped his arms around her. Melian just melted in his arms.
"I missed you so much" she mumbled into his chest.
"I know, I'm so sorry. I promise I will never leave like that, ever again" she broke the hug to look at him.
"You can't promise that, you can't control where you'll go and how long" Melian knew he was trying to be kind but this is the reality.
"I am very well aware of that, however, I can promise that I'll think about you every second while I'm gone"
"I love you" she couldn't help but smile again, he always made her feel like that.
"I love you too" they set their foreheads against one another.

"I really wish I could stay with you the whole day, but I have to bring the report to the General. I'll be back in no time"
"It's ok, I'll wait here" Melian gave him a big smile and he left. Ahsoka walked into the room just moments after he left.
"You knew didn't you? You knew he was coming back earlier" Melian looked at her from her bed.
"No I didn't, why would say that" she was hesitant.
"Come on Ahsoka, if you didn't know, you wouldn't be lying about where you went, you wouldn't come in right after he left, and you wouldn't be hesitant now!"
"I hate you Melian"
"I love you too Ahsoka"
