It's been a week, Thiko made one night seem like a lifetime. I was literally addicted to him but it was just one night for him because I haven't heard from him since. I'm reluctant to ask Candy, she made it clear to me that he was off limits but I let him break my virginity and me in two. He said he'll call me in the morning before he left but he never did, I couldn't put my phone down or on silent. I feel stupid now thinking that he would feel something for me after having sex with me, I felt like a teenager when I was with him, he woke me up and I came alive. So sad it wasn't that to him.

I love the way Sizwe stares at me before I annoy him, if he had the power I swear he would have fired me. Funny, it's only me, him and Candy at the pathology laboratory so he gets to see me every day.
"Please don't speak" he pleads as I approach him
I have a smirk on my face.
"And wipe that nasty look" Sizwe orders
"I was thinking of taking you out tonight, somewhere special, just me and you, dim lights, slow music..."
"I can't believe I'm stuck here with you, worse part I have to see you almost every day" He cuts me
I raise my hand "Oo and don't forget the wine that way we make silly decisions and blame intoxication"
"I'm going to have nightmares after that" he puts his hands on his forehead

"Go away" he commands
"Please marry me" I hold his hand
He's now laughing, my job here is done.
"I destroyed the great wall of China" we both laughing
Candy walks in the lab and give both of a stare.
"What's weird here?" she asks
"Your face" I say
Sizwe roars with laughter, however Candy didn't get the joke.
"Really?" she asks annoyed then walks away
Yes, she is pissed. I look at Sizwe and he seem confused.
"I overdid it" I say
He laughs and nods

"I'm sorry, that was a bad joke" I say standing beside Candy
"I would do something like that to you" Candy
"I know and I apologize for that. It won't happen again" I plead
"It's only because you are cute, i was going to kill you" I laugh before she can finish
"I'll buy you lunch tomorrow" I say
"Forgiven" She screams
Sizwe give us a stare. We look at him and laugh.
"I really want to bang him" Candy
I think she didn't want to say it aloud
"The fuck Candy" I say
"Like a no strings attached kind of thing, it can be a one time thing unless he's good then I'll reconsider" she says that looking at Sizwe
"At first I thought I was hearing things" I look at her
We both roar with laughter, this is not a good thing I should not be allowing this conversation. Candy is a hoe, I love this girl to death but she doesn't play when it comes to her needs. I've concluded that after knowing her for a month.

3 weeks passed and I gave up on Thiko calling me. It did hurt that for once I let my guard down and this happens. I see Candy already took the liberty of ordering cocktails for us, she looks sexy in a short green floral dress and sandals.
"You look delicious" I get sitted
"You look fat" she says

"Honestly, your boobs look bigger and you are glowing. Are you preventing?" she scans me

What the heck is she on about? "I'm not pregnant"
"When last did you see your periods?" Candy
Shit no, now that I think about it they were supposed to come weeks ago. How come I didn't count, I always count. This is not happening to me, not now.
"Wanga, hello I'm still here" she waves her hand on my face
"Candy, I need a pregnancy test" I get up
She follows me outside without saying anything, we in town the best thing I can do is find myself a pharmacy.
"There's a pharmacy just across the street" Candy says
I'm passing, candy however isn't complaining but keeping the pace. We arrive at the pharmacy, get the pregnancy test and off to my room. Candy is busy texting all the way to my room, we get in and she settles on my couch. I rush to the bathroom, I have a stopwatch with me waiting for the results, it's time
She tries to read my expression, I threw the test to her she jumps up.
"Eew you peed on that Wanga" she says
She picks it up and the doom on her face, yes you guessed it I'm pregnant.
"I thought you weren't getting it, how did this happen?" she sits down
I walk and settle next to her, I am speechless for once in my life.
"Babe, You are pregnant" Candy states
"Damn, I know Candy" she doesn't have to rub it in
"Sorry, I'm just addled" she keeps quiet
"I'm about to be a single parent, a disappointment to my mother, she will have a heart attack when she hears this, this is a disaster please kill me...
"Calm down, let's figure it out together." Candy trying to keep the peace
"I'm doomed, I can't go home until I give birth"
"Stop being dramatic, you are making me uneasy" Candy hitting my arm
"Whose responsible?" she finally asks
I look at her hopelessly, I can't tell her who it is.
"My ex, he came here few weeks ago and one thing led to another" I lie
"Then tell him about the pregnancy, I thought it was someone you just met and had a one time with and this happens" She just said that
"Yes that would suck" I am a bad friend
"That would be stupid and you wouldn't be in my circle. Just let him know, If he doesn't want to be involved let me know so that I can scare him a little" she says that with a serious face
