Always (Kotlc Spy Au)

Chapter 4

While we drove there I will admit I was a bit nervous, Sandor is actually really nice and is going to start training my friends and I soon with Bo and Flori.

My calculations were a bit off, I had to walk seven miles. I will admit the walk was a bit long. But we normally have to run 10 miles in practice so I'm used to it. I memorized the route I should take the day before as well as the outline and architectural design of the neverseen base.

I checked my watch,

1 Mile left.

After 5 minutes I arrived and hid behind the base. It looked like Rapunzel's castle but with millions of rooms. How am I ever supposed to find the κολιέ?

While looking around back, I pulled on my hood and saw people on guard, chatting. I really hope I don't have to fight anyone. I hid in a bush to get a better view of my surroundings.

One of the people chatting was a kid, who looked no older than 16, his hood was down and I noticed he had silver bangs and his eyes looked like a dark grey. He was talking to another person who looked similar to him, were they dating?

I turned my head to a better angle, no they are siblings. The girl also looked 16 so I think they might actually be twins.

I slowly crept out of the bush, daring not to make a sound. I crept to the side where there were no guards. Even though it was day time outside the castle provided so much shade, people would probably think its night-time outside.

I finally found a window. Perfect.

I latched on to the window and started to open it using my knife. Almost. Close. Got it! The window flew open and I ran inside. People noticed.

Crap.

There were 4 of them all with the same neverseen eye symbol on the sleeve. One was going toward a wall to press a lever thing while the others started closing in on me. I remembered my training. In between the eyes. No hesitation.

I saw as they were coming closer to me, pulling weapons. I took out the first person easily, punching him in the head, hard. He laid on the ground but I didn't know if he was unconscious or not.

As the other to were coming closer, I ran and did a move that managed to make them both fall, clutching a place where the sun sure don't shine. I ran as fast as I possibly could to the guy pulling the lever. It was too late. They already called reinforcements.

Alarms started to blare as I knocked the person unconscious with the blade of my dagger. Oh no! I immediately tried to think of a plan before reinforcements came. I should run. No. They will then think your weak.

While I was thinking, one of the guys I didn't knock unconscious hit me with his dagger, creating a large wound in my shoulder. I did a backbend to get out of the way of the large arch of the dagger. I arched up, then kicked him in the head. Then I used the dagger I had to hit the other one in the middle of the head.

When I turned I saw the two people who were talking when I was hiding in the bushes. This must be the reinforcements.

The boy with silver bangs and a creepy shady vibe walked up to me, "please they really think this is a threat?" He looked at the unconscious bodies beside me and his face darkened as he let out a cold dark laugh, then unleashed his sword and swung.

I immediately blocked it with my dagger, and the boy started to try to taunt me, "awwww do they think a little swan has a chance to beat the neverseen."

I gave a sly smile, and made my voice deeper so they wouldn't find out who I am, "its a moonlark actually." I swung as the boy kicked my knees, trying to make them buckle. I stood firm.

"Come on Linh help me fight." The boy said as we started to go back and forth with our swords.

"I told you Tam I don't want to fight an innocent child." The girl- Linh responded.

Gee thanks I thought.

"Well can an innocent child really be so innocent if there are unconscious bodies around her."

We kept fighting back and forth as the girl spoke again, "I don't want to fight her Tam."

"Well we can't let her go, they will just search our memories again and punish us again."

I felt kinda bad as I pushed against the boys sword, knocking him back, and ran as fast as I could.

I felt bad until I heard more sirens, wail and the Tam kid yelling orders.

I saw shadows almost like follow me, creepy.

I continued running until I was sure no one would find me until aI passed a room and hid behind a crate.

I looked and saw a glass box with people guarding it. I slowly crept around and let out a very small gasp, "the κολιέ."

I reached into my cloak and pulled out a gadget that Dex made, pulled the string and threw it. Almost immediately it spewed a gas that left them unconscious. I broke the glass box, grabbed the artifact, and ran.

I ran as fast as I possibly could, wait was I going up or down? I didn't know. I started to panic.

I continued to run in the base that it started to seem like a labyrinth.

I stopped in a white room , panting hard and hardly noticed a boy with blonde hair and ice blue eyes sprawled against a bench like a supermodel. 

I turned to start running again when a voice brought me out of the trance that I didn't know I was in.

"You must be lost."

I feel bad leaving yall like that but cue evil laughter.

Also Tam and Linh;) btw I promise there will be more of them and their backstory as to why they joined the neverseen.
