Chapter 18

As I ran through the hallways of the hideout in search of Cassius and I accidently bumped into Linh and Tam.

"Oh sorry guys."

Before I could run off Linh grabbed my hand, "where are you going Sophie?"

"Oh um, no where." I tried to squirm out of her grip, but it was rock solid.

"Then why are you ditching classes?" Tam asked me.

"Why are you?" I asked changing the subject.

Tam casually replied, "got bored and decided to sneak off."

Linh then said after, "and I lost my pet mouse the other day and wanted to look for it."

Tam smiled at me, "your turn."

I gave a sigh then spilled, "I think Cassius might know something about where Biana and Wylie are being held captive."

The twins looked at eachother, taking the information in.

Linh then stepped up to me, "please tell me you aren't going alone."

I looked at her, "what do you mean?"

"That if you do find out where they are, you aren't going to try to be the hero and save them yourself."

I looked away, "I'm going by myself."

"Sophie please take at least Linh and I with you." Tam said.

Linh gave me puppy dog eyes.

I couldn't resist. I hated to admit it, but I was going to need all the help I could get.

"Fine you two are in, but don't tell anyone about this. Not even Fitz"

"Promise." They both said.

I sighed if they got hurt it's now my fault, "lets go find agent Cassius."

We ended up finding him in a hallway by a mirror looking at his reflection. I really felt bad for Keefe. How does he even handle him?

"Um excuse me." I tried to say kindly.

He didn't turn, but looked at us through the mirror, "ugh what do you three want."

As the leader, I stepped next to him, forcing him to turn to me.

"I-" I stopped myself, "we want to know where nightfall is."

He practically laughed, "you, three children want to go into nightfall, Vespera's tourchere chambers? Thats pratically suicide."

Before he could turn back I grabbed his wrist, "look this may be the only lead I have to my best friends abduction case so tell me where it is."

He looked shocked before he told us, "it's in Atlantis by the old fountain, but if anyone asks I didn't tell you."

He strutted off.

Linh then gasped, "I remember! I used to play by there as a child, its not far from here. Only like 10 miles."

I then turned to Tam, "you two are really up for this?"

"Of course I am!" Tam said.

Linh then spoke, "okay it's settled we are going to Atlantis tomorrow morning at the break of dawn and will save Biana and Wylie."

That night after I checked on Keefe I called Grady and Eadline, telling them I was going to stay at the black swan hideout that night.

I planned till 12:30 at night, and prepared myself for anything that could happen. So far the only people who knew were Tam, Linh, and maybe agent Cassius if he even cared to put two and two together.
