"so... why'd you leave cali?" i brake the loud silence

"i don't know"

she sat at the kitchen table, i was on the counter

"well what made you come to my house specifically?"

"gionni really missed you" she tells me

"oh he did huh"

"yeah wake me up in the middle of the night an everything"

"hmm well that's sweet, i missed him too" i knew i wasn't getting the true story

it got quiet again

"do you think i'm ugly" she asked

she always asked random weird questions

"no why"

"just wondering" she scanned the room with her eyes

"do you think i'm ugly?" i ask the same

"no i don't think you're ugly"

"good"  "yeah"

"ashley went home?" she asked

"uh yeah we kinda stopped talking all together"

"aw really? why"

"i don't know. she's really pretty, but for some reason i can't get attracted to her" i explained

"how tragic" she brushed it off

"jaizen probably doesn't like that ur here huh"

"well not that is ur concern but we're friends" she bounces her leg up and down

"why" she looks up at me

" you seem happy" i shrugged my shoulders

"you don't know me then"

"why aren't we happy" i ask her

"you are happy aren't you?"

"i see what you did there i guess" she bites the insides of her cheeks

"well, how long are you staying" i ask

"i don't know, we can be gone by tomorrow if you want" she tells me

"nah ion want you guys gone. i'm buying groceries tomorrow so i was just wondering"

"you mean later today?"

"shit yeah, it's 5am" i yawn

"does that mean ur going to sleep?"

"yeah" i hop off the counter.

"do you need anything? like the beds made in there, and there's a bathroom so" i ask

"no i should be good thanks"

"alright then" i clap my hands

"goodnight then?" i ask

"goodnight" she stands up

as i was walking past her she kinda stepped in front of me

"oh sorry" she stepped on my foot

she wrapped her arms around me
