as soon as i got back to cali my dad took me to eat and talk about the drew league with one of the coaches.
he was always throwing something at me
"our pants are going to say 'no excuses, just produce' on the right side" the coach showed me a pic

"so melo are you gonna be advertising our league on your instagram account?" he asked
"i mean i might post pics of me but ion really partner wit people like that"
"we gon do what we have to do for the league" my dad changes my answer right in front of my face
"we're not even aloud to have that many people in stands because of covid so what's the point"
"we'll still be selling merchandise" he says
"so i'm a money hog for y'all?" i ask
"son just shut your mouth" my dad looks at me seriously
"no of course not, we advertise all our players" the coach says
"it's not a problem joe" my dad tells him
"alright well it was nice to meet you both" he stands up and shakes our hands
