Chapter 44 : Sister

Stella's POV

I am currently sitting on the sofa, playing with the small amount of water from the glass, not wearing the white glove on my right hand, trying to create circles of water floating on the air.

Suddenly, I shudder when I felt someone put an arm around my shoulder making the water falls on the table. I knew exactly the culprit from the effect it creates on me with the butterflies on my stomach "What the fuck, take your hand off of me!" I exclaimed frustratedly.

Kenneth put his hands up in surrendering position "Relax! Are you still on your red days?" He asked.

I felt my cheeks burning red, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath "Agh!"

I stand up and march towards the corner away from the bastard, then I put my glove back. Suddenly, my eyes landed on the other side and saw Josh standing in front of Elena as they smile sweetly at each other, Elena giggles from what Josh had said.

My eyes falls on Kenneth sitting on the sofa where I have left earlier, he is also eying the two. I felt my heart quench in pain, suddenly my feet moves going back to the sofa.

I took my seat but putting a small distance between us "Are you okay?" I asked softly.

He faced me partly shock from my voice as his handsome face held confusion but after a second he smile genuinely, not with mischief the usual he does but a genuine one making my heart beat erratically.

"I am, since you're here again." He said smiling, then I was the one suddenly turned confused, did he mean it? His smiles saying, he mean it.

But... "Aren't you jealous?" I immediately covered my mouth, shit I said it out loud!

Once again his forehead furrowed "Jealous?" Then after a while his expression from confusion turned hard, this is the only moment I feel his aura so dark. "Tell me, is there some other guy pursuing you?" He asked.

"What? No, it's just that..." I looked at Josh and Elena who seems busy at the side of the wall.

Did I became defensive just now?

I sensed him look at the direction I was looking at, then "Oh, I see. No, if she's happy with Josh then I'll gladly accept it. Besides, Josh loves her ever since, so I knew he will protect my sister."

Wait, what!? Did I hear it right?

I turned to face Kenneth once again "Sister!?" I asked shock.

He faced me, surprise with my reaction "Yes, sister. You don't know? Wait, you asked that if I am jealous... and I thought... are you thinking that..?" Then he slowly smiled mischievously as he tried getting closer.

"B... but, h-how come?" I asked stuttering, trying to move back putting a distance from him but he keeps moving closer to me.

"I have my father's surname and she has my mother, that is for her protection." He explained as he got closer and I have no escape because I have reached the sofa's handle and he put both of his hands on my sides caging me.

"Let me out." I ordered trying to move his hand but heck! He's stronger than a metal, I couldn't budge.

"So the reason why you keep avoiding me is because you thought I love Elena as a lover, isn't it?" He asked challenging me, wearing a grin.

My heart is pounding rapidly against my chest, I could barely breath! But heck, I won't give him the satisfaction.

"Feeler." I said to his face but it seems like he didn't hear it, as his face from playful look suddenly held... love and longings?
