I put ice in a plastic bag and wrapped a cloth around it resting the cold fabric on my cheek and closed my eyes, I shed some tears feeling alone at that moment, even so I sent a message to Harry asking him not to come home, my wishes were that this would not be repeated between the two of them, and they needed time to have a proper conversation. I took the groceries inside little by little and arranged everything in the kitchen alone, lost in my thoughts.

I arrived at work early because I was seriously bored at home, I couldn't sleep at night and didn't had Harry to calm me down, so I decided to focus my saturday morning to finish my reports for the week ''Good morning!'' Merlin spoke when we met in the hall ''Good morning, Merlin.'' I handed him some folders ''Here are the three suspects of hacking the state's security system, all under the age of 24, can you believe it?'' I giggled as I headed towards the controls room "I want to see what they'll be doing when they're my age." He said opening the door for me "Are you okay?" He asked "Yes.'' I sighed sitting down at the desk where there were several computer screens, I logged in wirh my user and started searching for the name of the first suspect, Mark Hamil.

Merlin sat next to me and opened the second folder starting the search with me ''You didn't need to come today, why are you here?'' Merlin asked keeping his attention on the keyboard as he typed ''I like to work, and I like to be with you, I miss our meetings.'' I smiled trying to be friendly, knowing that I couldn't hide anything from Merlin ''I don't know much about makeup, but I believe you exaggerated on the right side of your face.'' he looked at me, I pressed my lips together, frustrated that I couldn't hide the dark purple bruise on my cheekbone.

Merlin touched my hair and put a lock behind my ear ''Did Harry hurted you?'' He asked softly but i could hear the pain in his voice ''That's not what happened.'' I sighed and rubbed my eyes tired ''It is the first time he hit you?'' Merlin asked rubbing my back ''It was an accident.'' I looked at Merlin who looked scared ''No!'' I said quickly raising my hands to his chest realizing that he thought Harry had attacked me on purpose "Harry and Egssy were fighting and I got in the middle, it was an accident." I said "Oh thank God, I thought I would have to kill Harry.'' He touched his chest making me giggle ''Harry would never hit me.'' I said turning my attention to the computer research ''Harry had anger disorders, the training with him lasted longer than with any other agent.'' Merlin said ''Really?'' I looked at him surprised ''When we first met in the army, he was always looking for trouble, but it's something I haven't seen happen in about 20 years, he had a temper just like Egssy or even worst.'' he said ''Merlin, what happened to his family?'' I asked remembering the reason for Harry's explosion when Egssy talked about family.

Merlin looked at me apprehensively to speak but I kept staring at him, he knew he would have to tell me if he wanted to remain my friend ''The Harry you know full of rules, ethics and conduct, became like that after a tragedy that happened when he became an agent.'' Merlin started to speak, I leaned back in the chair paying attention and he shifted his attention to me ''Harry was unable to lose contact with his parents, especially with his mother, Emma.'' he continued ''However, he made a few enemies... And they discovered his parents.'' I put my hand over my mouth ''Oh jess...'' I felt horrible for Harry ''How old was he?'' I asked feeling horrible for leaving him alone ''We were 19 at the time, this led him to be extremely aggressive, until he almost lost his job as an agent, after that, he became serious and introverted.'' Merlin said getting up and walking over to the coffee table in the corner "When you two got togheter I started to see more of the Harry I knew, excited, happy and talkative.'' He poured two cups of coffee and walked back to the table.

''Thank you.'' I said putting the cup in front of me on the table ''Perhaps he is more vulnerable now, certain things will come alive again.'' I felt guilty for not being there for him at the moment, which should be an internal hell for him "Egssy said that Harry didn't took care of his family, something like that." I said confused about what it meant and not really remembering his exact words "Egssy knows the story, and thinks he can protect his own mother in a way that Harry didn't, but Harry is right, in a situation like this there is no way you can protect your loved one, the best option is to get away as far as possible if you wanna keep them safe.'' Merlin spoke and I could hear sadness in his words, that I also understood in a way "You and Harry are very lucky to have each other, being both of you agents make things easier." He said taking another sip, I looked at my coffee and rubbed my thumb on the hot dish.

I remember when Harry suggested that I should work with Merlin, now everything make sense, after all he wanted me to be as safe as possible ''Don't let Arthur see this.'' Merlin pointed at my cheek, I nodded turning my attention back to work and just now realized that I was really lucky to be sharing life with someone and how difficult it must be for everyone by our side, since they had never been able to have a bond with anyone, I mean in a real relationship. I realized how strong the friendship was between all of us, they being strong enough to support me and Harry in this way and wish our happiness more than anything, Its a love prove. I took out my cell phone and sent a message to Harry.

Take me to dinner.

I waited for an answer.
