Shaking off the thoughts I walk to my closet wondering what to wear today. I pick my black pants with a white top pairing them with a nice black blazer. I put on a little bit of make-up afterward I put on my stud earrings and a silver necklace. Feeling bold today I decide to let my locks down.
I pick out my black pumps sliding them on. Taking my black purse, I am off to the living room. Theo is sitting on the couch busy on his phone, when his eyes connect with mine he puts his phone in his pockets, standing up, he eyes me up and down.
"You look beautiful as always." He compliments making me blush furiously.
"You don't look bad yourself." I tease him. It's true, even when he's sleeping he's still breathtaking, unlike someone here.
He chuckles opening the door for me and locks it with the set of keys I hand him. We walk down the stairs in complete silence. Theo opens the large apartment doors and we step out.
A black Bentley slides on the parking lot and a middle-aged man gets my door.
"Kaylee, this is Lucas. Lucas meets Kaylee." Theo introduces us with a smile.
"Great to meet you, Lucas," I say as he shakes my hand.
"It's my pleasure. Well, I owe you a lot you know." He says chuckling.
Theo slaps Lucas on the shoulder playfully as we get in. Lucas shuts the door and proceeds to our destination.
"Am sorry about today. I am completely embarrassed about what I did. It was a mistake and I guarantee it won't happen again." Theo confesses shaking his head.
I simply nod.
I'm hurt he says it is a mistake but what did I expect, he doesn't date ladies like me I'm not his type. Let's face it, Isabella is his kind of lady. If I was him, I would regret kissing me too.
Then again, I am the one who acted out, it is not his fault he felt like I did not enjoy it.
"Kaylee, I hope you don't mind, my sister came to hear that am having lunch with you, she insisted she joins us. Is it okay if she does?" He explains.
"I have been meaning to meet her again. It's great she is coming." I reply and Theo nods looking out the window.
A few minutes later, we pull at the Grand hotel. Of course, he would bring me here. He owns this hotel and many others across the world. Yes, I did a little digging and am amazed by what he has achieved.
"Thank you, Lucas. I hope to see you soon." I say as he opens my door and helps me out.
"You will be seeing me a lot more. Be sure of it." He assures making me smile.
Theo leads me into the hotel, placing his hand on my very back.
"What did Lucas mean when he said he owes me one?" I ask.
"He never did like Isabella, they were like mortal enemies. So when he heard I broke up with her and called the wedding off he was excited to know the lady behind it." He explains walking towards a table with two ladies. I wonder who they are...
We get to the table and Theo pulls a chair for me. Muttering a quick thank you,
I get seated.
"Kaylee, meet Natasha and Natalie. They are in charge of my art gallery here in the city." He states as I turn to look at the ladies.
"Hey." I greet nervously.
"Hello." They both chime at the same time.
"We love your work. It is so simple yet so beautiful. I like the one with the elephant. It is so detailed to perfection. I think people would love it." One of them says. Natalie, I guess.
"I don't think they would love it... I know they will. If you are okay with it, we can put together a small art showing in your honor, well with your permission Theodore." Natasha
"Of course. That is what I wanted. I know she is talented. I will leave you ladies to talk. I have some businesses I need to take care of." He says pushing his chair and without even glancing my way, he leaves. Feeling disappointed we continue to talk about the contract I will be signing.
"Hey ladies." Mia greets kissing my cheek.
"Hey.." We all respond.
"So, where is Theo?" Mia asks loudly.
"He said he has some businesses he has to take care of. His words exactly. " Natalie replies sipping her orange juice.
"Ooh... I thought he is with you. " Mia says pointing at me and I shake my head no.
"What's up between you two?" Natalie asks.
Luckily before I can even answer, the waitress brings us our food we eat while making light conversations. After the meal, the twins excuse themselves to go back to work exchanging goodbyes and promising a ladies day out they leave.
"So... Let's go shopping." Mia says taking her bag.
"I can't. " I say standing up with her.
"It's on my brother since he ditched you. Maybe he's busy fucking some hoe out there..." She huffs taking my arms into her. I freeze.
"Ooh sorry... Am sure he ain't, I am just angry he left you here alone. Am sorry I shouldn't have said that." She apologizes and I nod wanting to avoid that topic.
We make our way outside to a white range rover waiting for us. We get in and head to the mall.
"So what happened?" Mia asks.
"Nothing" I blush.
"Ooh... You had SEX!" She squeals and I shake my head no.
"Then what happened?" She asks.
"He kissed me and him Ummm... He pushed my robe open. I was naked. So I pushed him away and went to my room to get dressed." I ramble making Mia and the driver laugh. I frown.
"So what is the problem with that?" The driver asks still laughing.
"I have never umm..." I trail off as the car falls silent and the driver cuts the break pushing us forward.
"You are a virgin?" Mia asks bluntly and I nod shyly. It's not every day someone wants to talk about those things plus the way my life has been hectic I don't think I have time to be sexing around.
"Ooh God. Does Theo know?" The driver asks.
"No. It is not his business and no one will be telling him shit." I deadpan.
"Well it is, if you haven't noticed, he likes you a lot. " The driver says.
"Since when have you become a pro at reading people's feelings Ryan?"Mia snaps.
"Some people are easy to read. Some people go out with any man that has a dick between his legs." Ryan responds.
"Damn you, Ryan!" Mia shouts and I look between them.
"What's up with you two?" I ask hoping to get an answer.
"Kaylee, I like Mia a lot but her mother would never approve of us. I am her driver, she is my boss's daughter. I can not give her the life she deserves." Ryan says his voice breaking and I look at Mia.
"I love you, Ryan. I didn't know that's how you felt. I don't care if you are my driver or my mother does not approve. I love you and that is all you should focus on." She says looking at Ryan.
"You two are making me cry," I say blinking to prevent the tears from falling.
We all laugh.
"Let's get this shopping done with," Mia says winking at Ryan.
Could I have a chance with Theo as Ryan has with Mia?
