Pristine did our make-up after we all showered, as usual, we were wearing Mia's designs. I had a jungle green gown with a high slit up to my thighs and black heels. My hair was let down, I check myself in the mirror and nod in satisfaction.
I excuse myself to call Theo but it goes straight to voicemail. I was furious at him for raising my hopes that finally, we had rekindled our love only for him to throw it to my face by switching off his phone. For a whole day! I had asked Mia to call his secretary but she said that he's busy with a meeting with an important client.
"Are you okay?" Hazel comes from behind me making me let out a small squeal.
"Yes, just that Theo isn't picking my calls," I say waving my phone in the air.
" How about we just have fun tonight and try to give him some space. How does that sound? "
" It's okay. Let me say goodbye to the kids before I leave "
" No! I mean no need. They are sleeping and we wouldn't want them to wake up right? " She says her voice squeaky and I narrow my eyes at her.
"Hazel, what are-"
"Kaylee let's go, we are going to be late! " Hazel drags me down the stairs in a hurry.
" What are you guys hiding?" I ask when we get to the limo parked outside.
" Nothing. Let the party begin! " Mia shouts handing us a glass of white wine. I sip my wine cautiously since I always tend to end up a little bit tipsy.
The car ride is short and I thank the heavens since Mia would have made all of us drunk. I was last to get out of the limo and everyone turned to look at me, a smile on their faces.
"What do you think of the place, Kaylee?" Mia asks curiously and I look at the mansion before me, it sure was luxurious and my type of house.
"It's breathtaking," I say eyeing the now open front door. Hazel leads the way staggering a little and I let out a small laugh.
"If you thought the outside was breathtaking, then you should see the inside. " Lyn says and we get into the house. It was quiet and I look back at my friends wondering if we were in the wrong house. The words got caught in my throat when I looked at the living room. My art was hanging on everywhere not in an overwhelming way. It beautiful and extravagant whoever did the styling did know their elements.
"This way Kaylee," Hazel says heading to the back, it seemed she knew the place better and that made me raise my brow.
Once I'm through the door I gasp, there lies a huge beautiful pool with people leisurely talking. All I saw were familiar faces, even grandma and all the kids were there. If I could be any happier, Lenny too was there together with his sweet Winnie.
"What's is going on?" I ask turning to ask Hazel but I'm met with a man's chest. I didn't have to look up to know that it's Theo, his rich manly perfume attacked my nose and I find myself smiling.
"What did I tell you about cussing?" He whispers and I could feel his dominating aura.
"That you'd spank me."
"Till?"
"Till I can't sit without wincing."
"Exactly you wait for your punishment, but in the meantime, I wanted to tell you something. " He says the last part loudly.
" What is it? " I ask as I watch him go down on one knee. He takes out a small red satin box, he opens it revealing a beautiful diamond.
"Kaylee from the first time I saw you at my mother's house in a maid uniform I knew I was screwed. You walked into that house and for once in my life, I enjoyed being at home, even though it was short-lived. " I let out a laugh remembering I got fired the first day.
" But that's beside the point I love you Kaylee and I want to ask you to marry me. Will you? " He says his eyes staring at my soul.
" Yes Theo, I will," I say and people around us start cheering. Theo takes off the old ring and I look at him in question.
"I want something that reminds you of me, not what I had done in the past." He says sliding the new ring into my middle finger. He stands up and before I could voice my excitement he pulls me into him, locking our lips into a passionate kiss.
People continue to cheer as cameras snap pictures and probably videos of us. I didn't mind as I wanted everyone out there to know that he had finally asked me to marry him. Again.
"Congratulations!" Mia screams pulling me away from Theo's arms, into a bone-breaking hug.
"Mia, leave my fiancé alone," Theo says behind me and Mia lets go of me muttering a sorry and stepping aside for the rest of our friends to congratulate us. Theo had taken both Nathan and Alessia in his arms leaving me with Amara as he went to talk to his guy friends.
"I can't believe you guys didn't tell me!" I say with a scowl.
"Now why would we ruin the fun of seeing you happy and speechless when that brother of mine proposes to you?" Mia says waving me off.
" Okay, so I'll be having the twins and Nathan at my place tonight. Do you know what that means? " Hazel asks wriggling her eyebrows.
" That I'm gonna go at the mansion all alone with grandma? " I say and they all shake their head, even Lyn facepalmed herself.
"Whatever you wanna think, I picked you a sexy outfit it's in your bedroom, the second cabinet from your right. You'll see it. " Hazel whispers before they walk away leaving me confused.
" You look beautiful. " A familiar voice says behind me and I smile. Theo stands there in a jungle green three-piece suit with a jungle green tie. The fabric strained against his hard muscle holding my two lovely kids. Looking at him I couldn't believe that I had this wonderful man all to myself.
"You look good too," I say dismissively and he lifts his eyebrow at me.
" Why were you not picking up my calls?" I ask as Amara plays with my hair.
