The rest of the days go by in a blur. They say time moves faster when you having fun, I agree. The kids have been busy with Quin, showing them how to groom, feed, and ride the horses. If they are not with Quin then they are in the garden picking fruits and vegetables. If not that then they are in the field collecting flowers to paint.
Theo has been the most loving in the history of loving fiance's. After that dinner, I realized that I do need to trust him and stop wasting my time arguing with brainless bimbos. I know it's harsh but come on, I'm allowed.
So today we are going back to the city since Collin decided to throw a party on which he would kill us if we didn't attend.
"I'm going to miss it here," Theo says when we board the plane.
"We'll be coming back, more often," I say squeezing his hands. He had an emotional breakdown after telling Mr. Sanders goodbye. I don't know what the old man said to him but he was silent throughout the ride to the airport. I didn't want to ask knowing he would tell me when he was ready.
The twins fell asleep once we were on air, Theo too fell asleep leaving me and Nathan to play online games once the pilot gave us the green light.
An hour and thirty minutes later, we landed in Newyork. Leo and Ross were there to pick us up. Theo got into his car and went to his office saying he had something to take care of before the party tonight.
When I got home, Grandma was there in the doorway. I got Amara and Alessia on my hip with Nathan walking next to me. Grandma hugged all of us picking up Nathan and we all went to the living room.
"How was your time there?" Grandma asks excitedly after Mary takes the kids away.
" It was great. Theo and I reconnected." I say with a smile on my face.
" Well that's great, Hazel is in your room. She said she misses you and wants to rest in your room. " Grandma says shaking her head.
" How are you, grandma?" I ask and she looks taken aback by the question.
"I'm going to be fine. "
"Reminds me, I need to run some errands, I'll see you when I get back. " She says standing up and leaving the room.
Walking in my bedroom, I'm met by the sight of Hazel sleeping on my bed. I get my phone out and head to the bathroom. I didn't like how Theo talked today and I was worried about him so I dial his number but he doesn't pick up. I try three times and still no answer.
"Kaylee?" Hazel calls out on the other side of the door and I open it joining her on my bed.
"Heeey... What's up?" She asks as I lay next to her. I did miss having conversations like this with her, without our other friends, she would always listen to me and tell me the truth as it is without hurting my feelings. She was my sister, one way or another and I cherished it.
"I don't know what's wrong with Theo. He's been acting odd since we left the ranch and I think he's getting cold feet about us being together." I say looking up hoping the tears won't start flowing. We were doing so well back in the ranch but whatever Mr. Sanders said to him made him change and act cold towards me. If only I knew what it was, I now regret not asking him when I had the chance.
"I know you two have had the rockiest relationship, but one thing I know is you two always pull through. Always." She says and I nod.
" So tell me how was the ranch?" Hazel asks cheerfully and I couldn't help but let out a chuckle. Telling her everything that happened, well almost everything.
"So you want to tell me you two didn't have sex?" She asks scrunching her face.
" Yes Hazel, stop putting that face."
"Can you blame me? The last time you had sex was with him and that was a year and months ago!" She says dramatically waving her hands around.
"What are you getting at ?"
"You need to get laid." She says in a matter-of-fact tone.
" I don't know if I should. Like yes, I wanna do it but-"
" Wait, you mean all that time you were with him you two didn't even get tempted to do it? "
" We did do other things. " I say a smile on my face remembering Theo going down on me.
"So tell me what exactly you too did. That's what I need to hear. " She says rubbing her palms together and I laugh.
" Theo has changed a lot in matters of the bedroom, he's more... Dominant. "
" So you get whipped, gagged, choked, punished? " Hazel asks her face lighting up as if she heard Chanel bags are on discount.
"Then why haven't you two done it already?" She asks and I just shrug. I guess I was waiting for the perfect time that I didn't realize that there's no such thing as the perfect time.
"Hello, ladies!" Mia comes through the door shouting and I chuckle. If there's the crazy one in our circle, it's her.
"Oh my... Kaylee, you look good. Saw it on your IG story and I love it on you!" Lyn says hugging me.
" Thanks to Mufasa. You guys should meet that guy." I say and they all nod.
" Looks like we'll have a ranch wedding...ouch! Why did you hit me?" Mia scowls at Lyn who only shrugs.
" Anyway, I know you ladies don't like my make-up team but we'll have to use them tonight. Regina's team canceled. " Mia says cringing. It was no secret we didn't like her make-up artist Pristine and her crew cause that bitch tried to get Collin to have sex with her. Mia explained that she couldn't fire her since she had made Pristine sign a five-year contract.
We just nodded and decided to go downstairs to make lunch.
