these comments were the reason why i didn't want to post anything, but the feeling that this made vinnie mad was even better. it was cute of charli and addison to support me in the comments and i was lucky to have them as friends.
"i can't wait to see vinnie's face when he's gonna see you tonight." charli giggled. "he's gonna hate me for making you post on tiktok."
"no, it's not your fault, i can do whatever i want and he can't decide for me." i told her while i was still looking at the comments. luckily, there were many nice ones, mainly by charli's followers, but nevermind.
then i noticed the one by 'emmxvin' and suddenly i remembered a person with a similar username commented on my instagram post. "hey charli, do you know who that is?" i asked her showing her my phone.
"uhm, this one?" charli pointed out the comment and she seemed like she wanted to take some time to answer. after i nodded she continued: "i don't know maybe some random hating people, don't mind them."
she quickly turned around to look herself in the mirror. "so what do you think?" she said fixing the dress. i shook my head because of the speed she changed the topic we were talking about, then i decided not to insist anymore, so i said: "it looks great on you, for sure someone's gonna fall for you." i was joking. "or maybe he already did."
charli turned towards me and she was clearly blushing: "can you stop? we're just friends."
i laughed and shrugged: "fine but i didn't even say his name." she gave me a death stare and then she threw me the dress i chose before. "c'mon wear this and fix your hair, addison and avani are gonna be here soon."
i did what she said and i went to the bathroom in her room to change. we were waiting for addison and avani to join us, but they said something came up and that they would come pick us up. i finally wore the dress that charli lent me and i quickly went to her to see how i looked.
as soon as i opened the door i went straight to the mirror and said: "charli what do you think? it's beautiful, but how does it look on me? i think it's a litt-" i stopped talking because i noticed she wasn't listening to me. she was busy texting on her phone.
"hey are you there?" i asked trying to get her attention and after few seconds she was finally listening to me. "yeah sorry, it was addison. they're gonna be there in few minutes." charli said coming closer to me. "by the way, it looks perfect on you. i might consider gifting it to you." she smiled.
"i appreciate it, but i can't accept it." i said while i was trying to fix my hair. i wanted to make it a bit wavy. "you're gonna beg for it when later some cute boy will flirt with you." charli said giggling. i looked at her shaking my head and for sure i was blushing too.
"oh now you're acting like this, but before you told me the same thing." she raised a bit her voice but she was still joking. "trust me, there are many cute boys, you already met ryland and justin, right?"
"i did, but i-" i stopped talking for some seconds. charli was my friend now and i wanted to tell her about my personal life in italy because she was always telling me anything about her, so i wanted to tell her i was actually dating someone, but as soon as i opened my mouth to speak, she quickly said: "addison just texted me, hurry or we're gonna be late!"
i guess i would have talked to her about this later.
"here we are, ready?" charli said as soon as we got into addison car. it was weird seeing them driving because they were my age and in italy we couldn't drive before being 18.
"i've been thinking about this for a week!" avani said turning towards me and charli since we were sitting on the backseat. "i love your dresses, by the way. we're gonna take so many cute pics, i can't wait!!"
it seemed like everyone was obsessed with this party. i mean, i had been to some parties before coming here and i was excited to attend one here since it would have probably been different, but i wasn't that excited.
"i'm gonna play some music, do you guys have any suggestion?" charli asked while she was searching for some songs to play. "oh addison, i think bryce is gonna be there too." i was confused because i didn't know who this bryce guy was, so i looked at addison through the rearview mirror and she didn't seem very happy about it.
"it's okay, just don't mind him, okay? you're gonna be with us and we're gonna have fun." avani said touching her shoulder. i didn't say anything because it was none of my business and then i looked at charli trying to understand a little bit more about it. she just shook her head and kept looking for a song.
after few seconds i heard playing 'wannabe' by spice girls. i instantly smiled because it was the perfect song to play right now. then avani and charli started singing out loud trying to cheer addison up and i joined them, even though i couldn't sing at all.
at the beginning addison didn't seem to enjoy our karaoke sesh, but after playing more songs she started smiling and singing with us. she was very lucky for having charli and addison as friends and so was i because since the beginning they made sure i was feeling comfortable and i didn't know what i would have done without them.
