i was looking at emily without saying a word, then i felt someone was looking at me, so i turned around and it was charli.

she looked confused and seemed like she was asking me if i knew that emily would have come here and i shook my head.

charli came closer to me and whispered: "did you know? like, she didn't tell you anything when she came at your place?"

"of course i did not, and no we didn't talk about much except for what she said about vinnie." i said trying not to be heard by anyone.

"so, uh, emily you can take a seat with the girls over there, we're about to start." thomas awkwardly said looking at us.

great, now she had to sit with us making things awkward. as soon as emily sat next to addison, i already could see vinnie's face changing.

of course right when he seemed to be nice after days he acted like a jerk, now emily was about to ruin everything.

"it seems like bryce isn't gonna be the main problem tonight." i heard charli whispering in my ear. i looked at her rolling my eyes.

she was kinda right, now i couldn't wait to meet bryce. i knew addison wasn't in a good mood, but at this point, anyone was better than emily.

"LET'S GET THIS FUCKING PARTY STARTED!" we suddenly heard a loud voice from the main door.

i looked at the others confused and when i saw addison's face i immediately understood this had to be bryce.

"we also got white claws, no need to thank us, we got y'all's back." a black headed guy said smiling. then three other boys joined them and the room immediately became crowded. i didn't expect this many people.

"thanks man." thomas said to the guy. i didn't even know what white claws were, but i guess it would have been fine. i was here to enjoy the party with my friends.

"don't thank blake, it was my idea." the guy who seemed to be bryce said acting tough. it was pretty funny, so i lightly giggled, causing addison to turn into my direction.

shit, that wasn't a smart move, so i mouthed a 'sorry' hoping she wouldn't have hated me for that.

"okay let's get something to drink, i don't wanna spend the whole party sitting here." charli said getting up from the couch and then she grabbed my right arm to take me with her.

she was right, we had to do something fun. we walked past the people and before arriving at the other room, i walked past vinnie, who stopped playing billiards and he looked like he wasn't feeling comfortable with emily being here.

i felt like i wanted to get close to him and try to make him feel better, but i didn't do it, simply because he would have acted like a jerk and i didn't want this to ruin the whole night.

"don't mind them, we're here to have fun, not to think about vinnie and emily." charli said noticing i was looking at vinnie.

it was in that moment that i got a feeling, but i wasn't really sure about it. i immediately thought about the comments left both on my recent on instagram and on my tiktok. the usernames sounded like what just charli said. emily and vinnie.

"charli." i said to make her turn into my direction. "i have to ask you a question." she was looking at me confused. then she laughed awkwadrly because she noticed i was serious.

since she stayed quite, i decided to keep talking, but first i made sure there was no one in the kitchen: "is there something between emily and vinnie?"

as soon as i spoke, i could say that her expression changed and she seemed like she didn't expect this question at all.

"what? no. they aren't really good friends, that's it." charli said without looking at me. as much as i loved charli, i didn't believe her.

also because when emily came at my place, ryland and justin joked about vinnie having a crush on emily. but i guess they weren't joking.

i was about to speak again, trying to convince her to tell me the truth, when someone came into the kitchen: "uh, sorry, thomas told me to bring these here." a guy behind my back said.

"no, it's fine. actually we were looking for these." charli said going closer to the box that the guy put on the counter. "thanks bryce." okay now i was sure this guy was actually bryce.

"how come you're so kind to me miss d'amelio? aren't you friends with addison?" bryce joked.
then he looked at me and said: "hey i never saw you with them, so you're the new girl."

i guess that when charli said many people were curious to meet me for being an italian girl, she wasn't kidding. it felt so weird.

"yup, that's me, i'm anna." i said slightly smiling.

"nice to meet you, i'm bryce." he said winking at me. okay bryce, chill.

i simply smiled then he said: "okay, i'll leave you girls alone, they need me. no bryce, no party." and then he left. this bryce guy was so confident, but he was funny.

"and now you've met bryce too. he's a good friend, but he's kind of a jerk." charli said taking two cans of what seemed like white claws and opening them. yeah, as vinnie. though, i wondered what happened between addison and bryce.

charli offered me one of the can she was holding and said: "as the tradition, we have to drink it all in one shot. that's the only way to be one of the boys."

i chuckled for what she said. one of the boys? it sounded weird but fun. and that was all that mattered.

"3,2,1, GO!" charli said and we both drank it. it was so fast that i barely tasted it. it wasn't that bad, though.

"now let's get out of here, i'm gonna introduce you to the others." she said taking my arm and heading me to where we were before.

when we arrived there i was pretty surprised by how many people were there. only few minutes ago, it was just us and now i didn't even recognise the few people i knew.

also all the light were turned off, there were just colored lights, but they were useless because all i could see was people silhouettes.

"c'mon let's dance." charli said making me turn a little. i wanted to, but i remembered i still had my purse and my phone with me, so i had to put all this on the couch.

"just a second, i'll give these to addison." i said after noticing addison sitting on the couch as before.

"hey addison, i'm sorry for earlier, but could you look after these for me?" she didn't say anything, she just nodded.

i put my purse next to her and i was about to put my phone in there, when i saw a text from couple hours ago. he had to be kidding me.
