Chapter Four - Lifestyle Choice

KRISTIAN
Kris went to fill out everything for Kryssie's discharge as I went to her room. As I would, I zoned out as I walked along the hallway. I nodded at the bodyguards guarding the room before knocking lightly and walking in.
Kryssie was still sleeping peacefully on the bed, one of her arms laying on top of her waist. I smiled and quietly walked towards her before taking a seat. With a light peck to her forehead, I softly whispered into her ear, "Morning, Kryssie."
She shuffled a little before fluttering her eyelids open. Her crystal blue eyes were shining brighter than diamonds as she looked at me, "Morning, KT."
I held her hand and gently massaged it, "Time to get ready. Kris is finishing your discharge documents."
"Okay."
She used her arms to sit up before putting her legs over the edge of the bed. I helped her off the bed and took Zach's hoodie and a pair of jeans from the duffle bag we brought on the first day of her here.
Giving the clothes to her, I pecked her forehead before letting her go into the bathroom to change. I helped her pack up her things as I waited for her to change and get ready.
She walked out with her toiletry bag and I took it from her to put it back in the duffle bag. I picked it up and slung it over my shoulder, holding my hand out, "Let's go."
She held my hand and I led her out of the hospital room. We went to the reception where Kris was standing, filling out documents.
"Hey, Kris."
He looked up from the paper and looked at her with a smile, "Hey, kitty."
She let go of my hand before taking Kris' free arm and wrapping it around her shoulders, snuggling into his warmth. I stood beside her and leaned my forearm on the desk.
After filling out the documents, he handed the papers back to the receptionist before tightening his arm around our sister and kissing the top of her head, "Are you excited, kitty?"
She nodded against his shoulder, "Excited to get out of this hell hole."
"Come on, sis. It's not that bad," I said, rubbing her back gently. She whined, pouting her product-less lips, "But it's just the aura hospitals have that makes it scary."
"KT, did we hear right?" Kris asked, looking at me, "Did our sister just confess she's actually scared of something?"
I chuckled and went along with it, putting on a shocked expression, "I think she did. Let's check."
We leaned down so our faces were on either side of hers. I asked in a joking tone, "Did you just say you were scared of hospitals?"
She rolled her eyes and smiled innocently, "Yeah, I did. What're you gonna do about it?"
We chuckled and Kris pecked her right cheek as I pecked her left cheek.
KRISTOPHER
This little girl will be the absolute death of me.
Too adorable to not tease.
And yes, I am talking about my sister. What're you gonna do about it?
After checking Krystal out of the hospital, holding her hand in mine, the three of us walked out of the building and into the SUV waiting outside.
KT sat on the opposite side of Krystal and I, setting her bag beside him. I knocked on the divider, signaling that Dylan can start driving. The car started moving and I pulled out my phone, wrapping an arm around my sister's shoulder.
"You're staying at home for another week," I mentioned to the girl next to me and she whined, "Why? I'm fine."
"You may feel fine, but your wound needs time to heal. You were supposed to stay in the hospital for another two weeks, you know?"
She nodded against my shoulder and I continued, "So I'm already risking it letting you out of there this early. At least rest for another week before you head back to school, alright?"
"Alright," she complied and I kissed her forehead.

"Halloween's coming."
I looked up at Krystal who was cuddling with Zach on the large couch. We had arrived home a few hours before and had just eaten lunch thirty minutes ago. Currently, we were just hanging out in the living room while Sam was scrolling through Netflix upside down on the arm chair.
Like his back was on the seat and his legs were over the back of the chair. With the remote in his hand, he went through the recommended movies for a while before settling on Work It.
"Do you guys have any traditions?" Zach asked, playing with my sister's hair. I lifted my feet up onto the coffee table, "Usually we just hang around with the gang or go trick-or-treating at some enemy bases."
"Trick-or-treating?" Zach raised an eyebrow, "How does that work?"
"We just ambush enemy bases and they have two choices on how it'll end. Either they give us quarter of their resources, or we shoot the place down," KT, who was leaning against the chair I was on from behind, answered.
"We also dress up in costumes, usually according to our aliases," Krystal added, stretching her legs before curling them up against her chest again.
"Guys, look how fabulous Juilliard is," Sam gushed, swinging his legs. Mark entered the living room with a glass of scotch in his hand, "Who the fuck is Juilliard?"
"That guy with the pink hair," Sam pointed at the television. Mark took a seat next to Krystal and Zach, putting his glass on the table, "Why would someone want to name their child after a dance school?"
"His real name is Isaiah, he just calls himself Juilliard because it's the school he wants to go to," Sam noted before shushing all of us up. Staring at the living room, I had a thought.
I think I'm gonna get a sectional sofa. I mean, there's enough space. Why don't I?
Oh god, here you go again with 'buying things you don't need'.
Shut up, it's a lifestyle choice that doesn't require the opinion of an alter.
We're stuck together, idiot. We can't always have separate lifestyles.
Jesus, this child is me?
Kristian hasn't had a POV in a while so I decided to throw him in. Did you like it? Tell me your thoughts in the comments.
