KRYSTALLIA
"Stay still," I said, trying to settle Zach down so I could get him ready. It's his graduation today so he's pretty nervous but excited.
"It's still terrifying," he said, looking down at his lap. I sighed and put the hairbrush down. I took his face in my hands and gently rubbed my thumb over his cheekbone, "It's fine, you're gonna do great."
He held my waist and buried his face in my chest, "Still."
"You've done it before in high school, you can do it again in college," I said as I ran my fingers through his unkempt hair, "Now come on, it's starting in an hour and a half and it takes half an hour to get to the university."
He pulled away slightly to look up at me, "How about I skip and we stay in bed? I think it's more favorable, hm?"
I laughed and shook my head, "No, you can't. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to graduate from university. It's ending at 11 anyway so you'll be out of there in no time."
He jutted his bottom lip out but nodded anyway. I turned him back to face the mirror and took the hairbrush, smoothening his messy brown hair.
"What kind of hairstyle do you want?" I asked, looking at his reflection in the mirror. He pouted like a child with his arms crossed and I sighed before leaning down to kiss the base of his neck, "Stop being so stubborn, babe."
He looked up to twirl a few strands of my pink hair around his finger.
"Zach."
He hummed in response and I kissed his forehead, "Come on, you need to get ready."
"I don't wanna," he said, pouting. I rubbed his shoulders, "I know you don't wanna but you have to. I promise you, it's only for today."
He met my eyes, "Promise?"
I nodded with a smile, "Promise."
"Okay."
I kissed his cheek, "Good, now sit straight and see what hairstyle you want."
He tilted his head, staring at his reflection, "Maybe just my normal."
I gave him a smile, "See, that wasn't so hard."
He laughed, holding my hand, "Shut up."
Finishing up his hair, I took some concealer to cover up his faint dark circles before deeming him ready.
"Go get your gown on, if you have problems, just call," I let him out of the bathroom and he reluctantly dragged his feet towards my closet. I brushed through my hair, cleaning myself up a little.
I woke up at six-thirty just to get Zach ready for his graduation. So I think I can say I'm pretty committed to him.
Jokes aside though, I'd do anything to keep that dumbass smiling. Even though it's only been six months, but I think I could see our future together. Our relationship has our ups and downs, but who doesn't?
I'm ready to spend the rest of my life with that childish idiot who would eat Pixy Stix every day if he could.
"Diamond?"
I snapped out of my thoughts and saw Zach standing at the doorway. He already had the black gown on and was playing with his fingers.
"Hm?"
"What're you thinking about?" he asked, walking closer and hugging me from behind. I smiled, "Just thinking about how much of a fool you are."
He raised an eyebrow, "What did I do this time?"
