"Hey Brenna we just started a movie wanna join-" Zoe started but then cut herself off once she saw me walk in the door with a very bloody Calum trailing behind me.

"Who's that?" She finished with wide eyes. They all had wide eyes. I actually think popcorn just fell from Avery's mouth.

"Just a uh... he's just a friend. He's gonna go shower real quick." I said and took a hold of Calum's arm and dragged him to the bathroom. He just waved at them with a small smile and let me drag him down the hall. I have never seen them more confused in my entire life, but honestly I don't blame them.

"There's towels in this closet and everything else you'll need is there too. My guy friends shower here all the time so you can use their stuff." I said and opened the small closet door for him.

"Thanks." He said and stepped further into the bathroom.

"Do you want me to wash your clothes? They probably won't be done before you get out but you can wear some spare clothes I have in my room. They should fit you." I said quickly and suddenly realized I was rambling. This entire night was just crazy.

"Um yeah sure. I'll leave them outside the door." He said and looked around my bathroom.

"Okay I'll get them for you now." I said and went to my room to get him some clothes. They were Cole's but no one really needed to know that. Hopefully he wouldn't care. Actually I'm hoping he doesn't find out about any of this cause he'll never let me leave the house again.

"Do you want something to eat or drink? I can make you something for when you get out?" I asked and handed him some sweats and a t-shirt.

"Usually you don't even want me at your register, now you're offering me hospitality?" He chuckled and gave me a questioning look.

"You just saved my life, or saved me from a lot worse. This is my way of thanking you, don't ruin it." I said and turned towards the door so I could leave.

"I'll just have some water when I get out." He said and shrugged his shoulders.

"Okay." I said and closed the door behind me so he could clean up. I sighed and shook my head before I walked back into the living room. They hadn't started their movie yet. They just looked at me with that same confused and concerned look on their faces.

"What the fuck happened at work?" Avery asked with furrowed eyebrows.

"Is that that kid- oh my god what's his name what's his name?" Kendall said and snapped her fingers.

"Wait you know him?" Zoe asked and looked at the three of us.

"Oh that's that guy you bumped into Monday right?" Avery asked while Kendall scolded herself for not knowing his name.

"Calum Kenny." I chuckled which made her face palm.

"What the hell happened?" They all asked at the same time while I sat down on the couch next to them.

"It's kind of a long story." I sighed and sunk into the couch cushions.

"Well start explaining." Avery said eagerly.

"Well I told you he's been coming in every day and bugging me." I started and they all nodded their heads.

"So he came in today did the exact same thing that he does every day. But today he stayed until the end of my shift, then he was standing outside smoking cigarettes." I said which made their faces scrunch up in disgust. They hated cigarettes nearly as much as I did.

"It was almost like he was waiting for me or something but I don't know. Anyway we got into a disagreement about said cigarettes and then I just walked away because I didn't care enough about it. As I was walking to my car a few blocks over I was texting you guys, then someone grabbed me and pulled me into a dark alley. Basically he saved me from whatever was gonna happen and beat the guy up." I said just to end the story there. I didn't plan on telling them that he killed him, just in case they got wrapped up into it somehow and I didn't want that to happen. I wasn't going to tell anyone actually.

"Oh my god." They said with wide eyes and their jaws hung open.

"Yep. It's safe to say I have a lot more respect for him now. He still may be cocky and arrogant but he didn't have to do that." I said and shrugged my shoulders.

"That's so nice of him." Zoe said and held her hand to her chest.

"Yeah. Hopefully he doesn't continue to bug me anymore. Maybe we can be friends or something I don't know, but I'd hate it if he did that nice thing for me and then things just went back to before." I said and realized I left my jacket and shoes on so I took them off.

"Don't tell the guys though, or Cole. They'll all freak out and I don't want any of that to happen." I said and held my hands up at them.

"They're gonna freak out if they find out later you know." Kendall said matter of factly.

"They won't find out later, or at all." I said and gave them a stern look and they just sighed and agreed.

We decided to start our movie while we waited for Calum to come out. I didn't really know if he was going to stay or go but it was up to him, I didn't really care either way. Hopefully there would be a change in this rocky relationship we had before. It would be a shame if things went back to how they were after he did that for me.

When I heard the water shut off I took his clothes and put them in the wash for him. Then right as I walked past the bathroom he walked out so we bumped into each other.

"So we still bump into each other even in your own apartment?" He chuckled and dried his hair with a towel.

"Apparently so." I said and took the towel from him and threw it in the laundry room.

"Do you want something to eat? You can stay and watch some movies with us if you want. Your clothes are still in the wash but I can give them to you Monday if you come in or something." I rambled, which was a nervous habit of mine.

"No I'm okay, I should probably head home it's getting late. Thanks for the shower though, and for washing my clothes." He said and closed the bathroom door behind him.

"You're welcome, I'll walk you out." I said and led him to the door. The girls didn't say anything as we walked to the door, they just watched. Which was weird but whatever. I walked him through the door and closed it behind me so they wouldn't hear or whatever, just in case something was spilled.

"I won't tell them what you did, I just told them you beat him up." I said and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Thanks, I appreciate that." He said and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Thank you for what you did." I said and gave him a hug which I think surprised him but he hugged me back anyway.

"It's no problem." He said as we pulled away.

"Well... it kind of was." I said and he laughed.

"I'll see you around Brenna." He said and walked towards the elevator.

"See ya Calum." I said and smiled at him before I went back into my apartment.

"Those were Cole's clothes Bren." Avery said and gave me a look.

"It's all I had, you saw him when he came in here. He couldn't be walking around looking like that." I said and they just gave me a look and turned the movie back on.
