Chapter 47

••Harry••

I sighed, lugging behind me 3 bags that weighed more than people who owned them. Ren giggled as I huffed and puffed up the stairs of her hillside mansion, only a half an hour trek to the hospital that would finally fix Calum's pain.

"I've got Liam, Jess and Niall's bags. Where are they going?" I stopped at the top, staring down the row of doors all leading into a double or twin bedroom.

"Liam's is going in here with mine." I raised my eyebrows. "There's two single beds, Jesus, Harry." I rolled my eyes as she took Liam's bag off me.

"And the couple?" Niall ran out the last room, grinning at me as Jess laughed, following him.

"I think that question's been answered." I chuckled as Ash came out a room, yawning.

"Evening, H. I'm gonna go grab yours and Zayn's bags- you're both in the two single bedded room next to us." I nodded, pulling Jess and Niall's bags down the hall and into their room. As I stumbled out, I noticed Calum trudging into a room next to mine and Zayn's, talking to someone on the phone. Mike came out the same room, shrugging at me as I questioned with my look.

"I think it's Meg but I haven't a clue." I smiled sadly just as Ash came up the stairs, dumping the bags into the room he'd rightfully allocated to me and Zayn.

"Right, so, Gemma and Mali are in the room downstairs and they have their bags. The room down the end of this corridor, past Ren and Li's room, is the bathroom and toilet. Everything else is downstairs, Louis is in hospital and I'm getting daily updates. Meg and Luke are on their way to Scotland to stay in Cal's Dad's family cottage as their first stop. Lauren is... Dead and Jade's in with me." Ash updated, probably for himself, but me and Mike nodded our heads.

"C'mon Ash, Harry, let's go downstairs and discuss Cal and the hospital and Lou." Mike dragged his hands through his lime green hair, not even trying to disguise that his stress levels were at their peak.

"I'll tell Cal where we are." The boys shook their heads. Ren stumbled out her room looking red in the face and stressed.

"It's better he doesn't know anything that isn't essential. His brain's on overload." Renée dictated the actions of the boys. "Leave him be."

"If you insist." She silently thanked me, grabbing my hand and pulling me down the stairs after the boys.

"Luke and Meg are almost there apparently. Meg says Luke's tired but healthy and happy." I nodded.

"Did you tell him you loved him?" Ren looked up at me.

"I did and now I feel so much better. Thank you so much, H. I don't think I'd be this 'okay' with everything if I hadn't let him know that. Seeing Cal break down like that in the car was awful." I smiled, hugging her awkwardly as we stopped at the bottom of the stairs. She let go of my hand.

"Apparently Meg now knows a lot more about you and Luke. She rang me in tears when Luke stopped for petrol telling me she loved me and that you were so lucky to have Luke and that he was so precious and not the conceited asshole he tries to be and that you should know that she knows everything." Ren laughed as I grinned at her. "She was an emotional wreck and kept complaining that she shouldn't feel things so deeply."

"And you told her something cheesy like: that's what makes you special and that's why I love you?" I blushed slightly, punching her arm lightly as we both walked into the lounge room to join everyone else.

"I did indeed. But she was crying."

"When isn't she?" I rolled my eyes, stumbling over Ashton to reach Jess and Niall, slumping down next to my brother.
