Chapter 2 "Sky Full Of Stars"

Lucy POV

The night was cool and the sky was clear which gave a perfect view of the stars. I could perfectly see the constellations, too. Ever since I was little, I've wondered what stories the stars have to tell. I believe that the stars each hold a piece of our past and are waiting for someone to tell them to. I went over to the neighborhood park and sat down on the swings and then I began to sing.

As soon as we forget how we felt~

Dealing with emotions that never left~

Playing with the hand that we were dealt in this game~

Maybe I'm the sinner and you're the saint~

Got to stop pretending what we ain't~

Why we pointing fingers anyway we're all the same~

Make up, break up, total waste of time~

Can we please make up our minds~

And stop acting like we're blind?~

Cause if the water dries up and the moon stop shining~

Stars fall and the world goes blind, boy~

I'll be saving my love for you~ for you~

If I had listened hard enough, I would have heard someone sit down on the swing beside me. Before I started singing again, I heard someone speak.

"You know you're a really good singer, you should totally be famous."

Now, most girls might have been scared but I'm one of the other girls that don't even budge from their spot because they know they have nothing to worry about. I just laughed.

"I can hear the sarcasm dripping from your mouth."

He laughed as well. "I'm glad you noticed."

It was quiet again so I continued to look at the stars. I guess the person next to me got annoyed so they had the bright idea to block my view and I decided to embrace this person's existence. I look down and I see....

A smirking pink haired idiot.

Natsu POV

I walk into a park only to see a girl singing on a swing by herself at night. Well, I've seen stranger things than this. I sat down on the swing beside her and she kept singing so I spoke.

"You know you're a great singer, you should totally be famous." Then she laughed.

"I can hear the sarcasm dripping from your mouth." I found this quite funny so I laughed.

"I'm glad you noticed."

Then it got quiet. Almost too quiet which put me on edge. I got annoyed and the following reasons are why:

1) She won't look at me.

2) She stopped talking to me.

So I did what anyone would have did, I got her attention. I stood in front of her until she looked at me which didn't take long because I blocked her view at whatever she was looking at.

"Can I help you?"

"Yes, I was wondering if you could give me your number?"

"No."

Okay, that probably wasn't the best question. I tried again.

"Then can I ask for your name?"

She stared at me for a moment like she was calculating something. "...Lucy."

Score!!!!

"So, Lucy, what are you doing this late at night?"

"Just walking around. Does that bother you?"

"No, just wondering."

It was quiet again but not as quiet as before. "Hey, I've been wanting to ask this for awhile..."

"What is it?"

She pointed at me. "Why the hell is your hair pink?"

.

.

"What?"

"You heard me, why is your hair pink?"

"It's not pink, it's salmon."

"It looks pretty pink to me."

I had to count to five to calm myself because no matter how many times I was asked this question I never got used to it.

"It's salmon."

"Okay, whatever helps you sleep at night. What's your name?"

"Gosh, you ask a lot of questions."

"Shut up, I only asked 2 questions and one of them you already asked me."

"Fine, my name is Natsu. It's a pleasure to meet such a beautiful lady."

"Ah, it's such a pleasure to meet such a flirtatious pink haired man."

"Fair enough."

She laughed but then suddenly stood up. "Oh my, I've lost track of time I have to go. I guess I'll see you around, Natsu."

"Yeah."

She run off but then she turned around, ran up to me, kissed me on the cheek then smiled. 

"Thanks for keeping me company."

Then she turned and ran off. I stood there stunned and blushing. "Yeah, see you around."

I think this chapter was pretty good for a newbie like me :)
