Chapter 22 "Bad Day"

Lucy POV

I just knew it was going to be bad day. How did I know? Maybe it was the way I hit my head on my desk while trying to get out of bed. Or maybe it was because I burned my breakfast that I was looking forward to. Maybe it was that Natsu didn't come visit me like he usually does. Either way, it was a bad day.

"Okay, so to find the value of x...I have to..?" I was currently studying by myself. As much as I hated it I needed to because my idiotic boyfriend didn't show up. "Aha! I got it! See, I don't need you Natsu." I looked down the answer choices and frowned when I saw that 13 wasn't a answer choice. But one of the answers were 15 and that was close to 13 so I just circled that.

I looked out my window and saw that the clouds were dark and looked like it was about to rain. A grin appeared on my face as I jumped out of my seat and ran out of my room but not before grabbing my phone and my earbuds. By the time, I had got outside it started to drizzle and it started to get heavier until it was a downpour. I stood on my steps and plugged my earbuds in and stuffed my phone in my pocket. As Intoxicated by The Cab blasted through my earbuds, I stepped off the my porch and started to dance. The rain soaked my clothes and ran off my skin.

I got carried away while dancing and had fell into a puddle of mud but I laughed and got up. I felt someone come up from behind me and I turned around. There stood Natsu Dragneel. His hair was weighed down by the rain and he was soaked to the bone. We were matching basically.

"What are you doing, Luce."

"What does it look like I'm doing?"

"Playing in the mud."

I laughed and ran up to him to give him a hug. He lift me up and swung me around while laughing. I gave him a kiss while he gladly kissed back. I was about to ask where he had been but then I sneezed.

"Let's get inside, okay?"

"Yeah."

We walked inside but I noticed that the rain stopped even though it looked like it wasn't done raining. Interesting. We walked up to my room and I tossed Natsu a towel.

"I'm going to take a shower."

"So, you're going to leave me here shivering and cold."

"Well, what should you suggest I do about it?"

"...take a shower together?"

"What?"

"I mean think about it we will be saving the planet by conserving water."

"Alright..."

"Really?"

"No. You can take a shower after I get out and make sure you squeeze out your clothes and put them in the dryer downstairs."

I walked out and got in the shower. I let the hot water fight the coldness of my skin as I thought about how we really sounded like a couple right then. I got out and wrapped a towel around my figure then headed to my room. I opened the door and Natsu was sitting on my bed with just a towel covering his privates. I noticed that the same tattoo I saw on Gray's chest was on Natsu's shoulder but it was red. We just stared at each other for a moment before I decided to speak.

"What the hell are you doing?"

"Sitting."

"No. Why are you sitting in my room naked?"

"Oh. You told me to put my clothes in the dryer and I didn't want them to leak on the floor." I sighed and remembered I did tell him to do that.

"Just go get in the shower."
