Chapter 6 "Salamander"

Natsu POV

While Lucy pulled me along to where she wanted to go, I let my mind drift. I wonder if she knows that we are holding hands but I didn't want to tell her because she might let go. I looked at her as her long wavy blonde hair brushed her backside and shined in the sun. Wait a minute, this is not me. I don't act like this.

"Here we are!!!" I snapped out of my daydream to look where she brought me.

"The...park?"

"Yeah, it's where we first met."

"That's right..." I said in a matter of fact tone.

"Let's get something to eat first."

"Okay."

We walked over to a food stand in the park and looked at the menu. "What do you want?"

"Uh, I want some nachos with some extra hot sauce and some lemonade."

My eyes widened and she looked at me. "What?"

"You like spicy stuff?"

"Yeah, I like my stuff extra hot." I smirked.

"Well, you got somebody extra hot next to you. I advise you savor it." I winked and she rolled her eyes at my antics.

"I'll have the same."

After we got our food, we went to go sit on the swings. We ate in silence but it was peaceful. I was glad because it felt like the first time in my life everything had been this peaceful.

"I'm glad I met you."

"What?"

"Everything has been right today and I don't want anyone to ruin it."

"Me too."

I looked at her and laughed. Her face was red and she had nacho sauce on the corners of her mouth.

"What?"

"You have stuff on your face. I'll get some napkins."

"Okay, I'll stay here."

I walked towards the food stand again and stood in line.  "What do we have here? Looks like Salamander is on a date."

And there goes my peaceful day. I turned around to see a familiar face and a couple of other people. "Do I know you? You look familiar. Have I beat the living shit out of you before?"

He spit on the ground and looked at me with a glare but I didn't even flinch. "You sure do talk a lot of shit for a pink haired bastard."

And there goes my sanity for the day.

"Oh yeah, I remember you. You were the jackass that I met on the street that has no trace of manners and I indeed beat the shit out of you. Tell me, how long did they keep you in the hospital?" One of his guys tried to jump at me but he held him back.

"I will tell you my name before we grind you into the dirt."

"Is that so? Then tell me."

"My name is Erigor."

"Is that all?"

"Yeah." They took out their weapons and I sighed, taking out my blade. I thought this was going to be a clean fight.

"Let's get this over with."

They jumped at me two at a time. A muscular guy swung his spiked bat at me while a skinnier guy tried to hit me from behind. I dodged both hits and kicked the bigger guy feet from under him. I swung my knife at the skinnier guy and it ended up scratching the side of his face. I suddenly felt a burning pain in my side. I looked down and realized someone had cut me but it wasn't the guy I was fighting with. While I was distracted, I got a nasty right hook to the face by the guy I was fighting with. I guess I'll deal with this guy right now.

I punched him relentlessly until he went unconscious. I started to feel the adrenaline burn through my veins. One after another they all went down the same way. The only one left was Erigor.

So it's come down to him. "Ready to be sent to the hospital, again?"

"No, I'm sure this time it will be you." I let him come at me. He swung his fist and I dodged but he took the time to knee me in my face as I dodged his fist. It sent shock through my body at the amount of power behind it.

He's gotten better. Way better.

My nose was leaking but that wouldn't stop me right now. I got up and grabbed his shirt then threw him to the ground. I punched him until his face was bloody but he still fought me. I lost my balance and fell on the ground so he took the chance to get on top of me. He put all of his power into every single punch. I was slowly losing consciousness when I heard a loud and dull sound. Erigor stopped and slumped to the ground beside me.

Why did he stop?

I saw blonde hair and my eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

Lucy? Why was she here?

The last thing I heard before I lost consciousness was...

"You fucking idiot."

Ah this chapter was kinda difficult. It was my first fight scene that I have wrote so it might seem kind of weird. What will happen next?
