Chapter 35 "The End"

Lucy POV

"Sweetie, it looks perfect." My mother cooed from behind me. I shifted my graduation hat to a more comfortable position and sighed.

"Mom, you've been saying that since I put it on."

"But it does!!!" She said looking at me in the mirror from behind me. She looked like she was thinking but then she clapped her hands together.

"I got just the thing to top it off." She disappeared from the bathroom then came back with a small black box and gave it to me.

I opened the box and smiled. It was a pair of ruby heels that matched my graduation outfit.

"If I click my heels, will it take me to Oz?" I said, chuckling. My mom let out a laugh and smiled.

"Just put them on, Lucy." I slid them on my feet and looked at myself in my full body mirror. It matched perfectly.

"Absolutely beautiful." My mom and I turned around to find my dad standing there smiling at us.

"You ready to go?" He said after awhile. I nodded and walked downstairs. He wrapped his arm around my mothers waist and she blushed then him playfully. Now I know where I got that from.

We got in the car and drove off to my school. It only took a little bit since we lived close. I stepped out and saw all my friends waiting for me. I practically jumped out of the car and jumped on the nearest person which happened to be Levy and we both tumbled to the ground.

"Lucy!!" Levy screamed angrily. I cackled at her angry face. She definitely failed at it. She got up and dusted off her graduation outfit. I snickered once more and then got up.

I smiled and said my hello's to everyone but I didn't see Natsu anywhere. "Hey, you guys. Where's Natsu?" They shrugged.

"He didn't arrive yet. You want me to go check on him?" Gray said.

"No, the ceremony is about to start anyway." I assured him.

"Speaking of the ceremony, do you have the speech?" Erza asked. I nodded and took it from out of my jeans under my graduation outfit.

I handed it to her and she read it smiling a couple of times. "I'll be looking forward to it."

It been awhile so I'll catch you up on a few things. When I went back to school after winter break, Natsu and I made it our mission to bring up our grades. After some grueling hard work, we managed to do just that. To reward me, Erza gave me the job to give our graduation speech.

Also, Gray, Jellal, and Gajeel managed to enroll into our school sometime before I entered my coma so that's why they're right here in graduation outfits. Juvia thought she was a lost cause so she didn't want to get enrolled but she's coming anyway. The whole gang is actually.

"Time to get seated, Seniors!!!" A teacher yelled from the school steps. Everybody made their way into the auditorium and sat down, chattering excitedly. Parents and friends had their phones out ready to record this moment.

Principal Makarov walked onstage and smiled. "Let's give the class of X2016 a round of applause." They clapped, whispering inbetween. "I am just glad to say....." I drowned him out while my mind kept wondering where the hell Natsu was. Did he ditch? No, he wouldn't. A couple of minutes past before, I was snapped out of my train of thought by the sound of loud sniffling coming from the microphone.

Principal Makarov was crying as his secretary MiraJane comforted him. I rolled my eyes and looked at Levy. She was trying to conceal her laughter from whatever Gajeel was saying to her.

MiraJane went up to the microphone and smiled awkwardly. "Sorry for the disturbance. We will now have a speech from Lucy Heartfilia." I looked up at her in shock. I wasn't supposed to go up yet. She glared at me and I got up out of my seat.
