Chapter 10 "Girls Night"

"Natsu?"

He was standing there right outside of my 3rd block class looking bored out of his mind. He perked up when he heard me call his name.

"Lucy?"

"Yeah, were waiting for me the whole time?"

"Yeah, to be exact, I spent 4 hours of my time waiting for you."

"Nobody asked you to wait for me..."

"Exactly but I did."

I was getting confused. What was he trying to say?

"Are you going to class or what?"

"Huh?"

He sighed and walked toward me.

"Do you even care about you're education?"

"What? Of course I do."

"It doesn't seem like it."

"What are you trying to say?"

He sighed once again and ran a hand through his messy hair.

"What are your grades like? All A's? B's? A's and B's? Maybe C's? Maybe even lower?"

I blushed out of embarrassment and looked at the interesting beige and black school floor.

"I have an A."

"An A? In what?"

"English."

He started smirking and leaned in close to my face causing my face to get even redder.

"What about the REST of your grades?"

"I...I...I'm failing the rest of my classes." I bowed my head in shame.

His laughter traveled throughout the hallway and bounced off the walls.

"If that's true, do you really think you should be skipping class?"

"Don't do that!! What about you? You were only in class for 5 minutes and you get kicked out! Not to mention on your first day!!!"

"Do not flip this on me. You need help, don't you?"

I will not give in to him. I will not give in to him. I will not.

I crossed my arms and looked him in the eye.

"Yeah, I need help." Dammit, I totally gave in.

He started to laugh again.

"Then its settled."

"...what's settled?"

"I'm going to be your tutor so you better be prepared."

He smiled and walked off.

"Wait..."

Suddenly, the bell went off and kids flooded the hallways and I lost sight of my new tutor.

The day rest of the day went by fast and I was looking forward to girls night. Erza, Levy, and I walked home together. It felt good to have them with me. We walked in the house and it was silent which was weird because my mom should be home.

"Where is your mom? Isn't she usually here?"

"Yeah, but she's a big girl. She can handle herself and I'm sure she just went out with some friends of hers."

Even though I said that there was a nagging feeling in the back of my mind telling me something was wrong but once again I brushed it off.

"But, anyway, let's get started."
