Chapter 25 "Dark Lucy"

Natsu POV

My group and I entered the building from the top. I was ruthless at the moment because all I cared about was getting Lucy back. I shot everything that moved that was not part of my team. We were untouched and everyone else wasn't so lucky. The door opened and there stood, Sting Eucliffe, the leader of Sabertooth. He had a big smile on his face as if he were welcoming us to his dinner party. I growled at him and he just chuckled.

"Where is Lucy?" I said getting straight to the point.

"Oh, I don't know. Why would I tell you?"

Levy butted in the conversation. "Is she okay?"

"Last time I checked, she was bleeding out from several places and had a attitude."

I felt anger rush through my veins at the thought of Lucy being hurt I lifted my gun up and pointed it at him. He smirked and he seemed to be pleased with my reaction.

"Did I also mention that she's fighting one of my best fighters? She'll probably lose considering the amount of blood loss. I mean even if she wins, she could pass out or even...die."

The thought of Lucy dying made my stomach churn. I let down my guard and hadn't realized one of the gang members from Sabertooth was reaching for his gun. Cana got to him and kicked it out of his hand before he could fire. I sent her a grateful smile and she winked back. Sting didn't seem pleased with the interaction.

"But you know I can save her if you want me to."

"What's the catch?"

"Oh, nothing its just a small favor."

I was hesitant but I had a good idea at what he was going to say. "What is it?"

"I want you to surrender to us. I want you to bow down to me when you do and then you can have your precious girlfriend back. Sound fair?"

"There is no way in hell I'm agreeing to that. What made you think I would?"

"Oh I don't know maybe this?" He held out his cellphone and showed us the picture on it. My stomache dropped and some of my team gasped and cursed. It was a picture of Lucy on the floor and unconscious.

"Or maybe this isn't enough. Maybe you should see it in person." Right on cue, the door opened and there stood a man holding Lucy captive in his arms with a knife against her neck. She was covered in bruises and was still bleeding from several places. She seemed to be gaining consciousness slowly.

"Natsu?"

"Just stay put Lucy you'll be safe soon."

"What are you-"

"Well, as this is such a lovely reunion but back to our deal. I will release Lucy safe and sound and in return you surrender your position. Its that easy so will you do it or not?"

I gritted my teeth as I watched the knife pressed futher into her neck and Lucy struggle weakly against the guys grip. The other half of the gang filed through the door with there weapons up. I nodded at Cana to help fill them in on the situation. A few seconds later, they lowered their weapons and Gray looked at me and raised an eyebrow.

"So make a decision, Dragneel, what are you going to do? The clock is ticking."

I looked at my comrades and they nodded at me with small smiles on their faces. I looked at a Lucy and she was looking at me with wide eyes.

"Don't you dare."

I knelt on one knee and then brought down the other. My pride took painful blows at my actions but it didn't matter as long as Lucy is safe. I took a deep breath.

"Natsu, I swear to god if you do this I wont forgive you."

I opened my mouth after getting mentally prepared for what I was about to say.

"Dammit Natsu stop it."

"We surren-"

"I SAID STOP DAMMIT!!!!"

Before I could process what was happening, Lucy had crossed the room and had a gun pointed at Sting. The other guy was on the floor unconscious. Everyone was staring at Lucy in shock even Sting. Maybe some fear was mixed in there. I couldn't blame him. The look on Lucy's face was scary. Her eyes were wild with fury and her nose was flared slightly.

"How dare you kidnap me and then try to make my boyfriend surrender everything he has worked for and expect to leave here unscathed?"

"L-lucy please don't shoot I can explain everything."

"That's bullshit and you know it."

"Lucy please." He tried to reach for the gun but Lucy pulled it out of his reach and shot him in his thigh. He screamed out in pain and grabbed his leg.

"You bitch." He said venomously.

"That's for stabbing me in the thigh. It really hurt but if you try something again the next bullet will be going through your skull."

So this was the dark side that I've heard so much about from Juvia. I looked at everyones expressions and only Juvia, Levy, and Erza didn't have the look of shock and fear in everyone else's faces. They were just.

...calm.

"Now what I suggest you do is pack your things up and leave and take what left of your crew with you. If you mention a word of this to anybody, it wouldn't do any of us good in the end. If you don't take my offer to leave right now, none of you will be heard of again. Do you understand me?"

He nodded rapidly. She stepped back and took a deep breath with a grimace on her face. She opened her eyes and shot him in the shoulder.

"Lucy!!!"

She shot a glare at me and I shut my mouth.

"What did you do that for?"

She looked back at Sting and gave him a bright fake smile.

"That was for good luck but to be terribly honest I hope you bleed out and die on your way out the door."

He glared at her but she glared back with more intensity which caused him to look away. He called for the rest of his gang to head out and walked out the room without looking back once. Lucy stumbled on her feet and ran over to catch her before she fell.

"I got you. You're okay now, Luce."

"I'm too exhausted to be mad you right now so when I wake up I'm going to yell at you."

"Can you bear with me for a little bit and don't fall asleep, okay?"

She nodded and I turned to everyone else and went into leader mode.

"Some people will stay behind and clean up this mess and I need some people to help me take her to the hospital. But I need more people here to help so at least 5 people come with me."

"I'm going." Levy said and nodded at Erza.

"I'll go as well." Juvia announced.

"I'll tag along." Gray said but I really think he had been away from Juvia too long and wanted to be with her.

"I guess we are going. Everyone else will stay here. Is that fine with everybody?"

Everyone nodded so I picked Lucy up and headed out the door with Levy, Erza, Juvia, and Gray.

Hold on, Lucy.
