Finally seventeen. I honestly didn't think I'd make it here. But since I did there's no going back now. "Look who it is the birthday girl." "Hello to you too Blake." He puts his arm around me. "Hey Say you still driving me home?" "Um." She looks at the group. "Sorry we were busy just go home after school." "Um okay." What a great start to my birthday.
Everybody was acting so weird today. Blake was distant, and Sawyer was quite. Of course Seb was the weirdest of all. He didn't even talk to me or wish me happy birthday. Something was up, but I just didn't care I was seventeen and I can get my license now. I can drive where ever I want. I can get away from my mother and from this hell hole.
I walk home from school and it's raining. I'm soaked by the time I get home. But when I walk through the door. "Surprise!" Everyone is here. Blake, Sawyer and Sebastian. "Oh my god guys, this would have been a lot more fun if I wasn't soaked." The group starts whispering. "Guys we messed up making her walk here, she's soaked." "I got this guys." "Blake what are you gonna do?" "You'll see." Blake begins to walk over to me. "Hello." "What?" "Where's your room?" "Upstairs. You've been in it before." "Right, well let's go." He grabs my hand and takes me up to my room.
"I'm gonna pick out your new outfit." "Maybe that's not such a good idea. Your not exactly a fashion expert. I mean you wear the same thing everyday." "Trust me." He picked out my outfit and we walked downstairs. "Damn girl you look good." Blake cleared he throat, loudly. "Oh sorry I mean you look very nice Julia." "Thank you Julian." "Okay guys it's present time." "Here open mine first." I grab Blake's present out of his hand. I open up to see a pair of, shoes. "Air Force Ones. Thank you Blake." I stood up and hugged him.
I opened all the presents and thanked everyone for coming. That's when Seb came up to me. "Hey can I talk to you?" "Yeah sure." We walk over to the corner. "Sorry I didn't talk to you today, I was scared I give away the party." That's a relief. "It's fine." "But happy birthday." He hands me a pack of papers. "What's this?" "It's a signed copy of the original script from High School Musical. It's signed by the entire cast and the director." "Oh my god. This is amazing, how did you get this?" "It was expensive but worth it." I gave him a hug. "So is it better than what your boyfriend got you?" "He's not my boyfriend and yes. But it's not a competition, it's the thought that counts." "Just admit it, I won." "Fine you won." He walks away and Blake comes up to me.
"What's that?" "Oh it's what Sebastian got me." "My present sucked I know." "What no it's great." "You said you needed new shoes so." "I did say that so thank you." "I'm not good at giving presents cause I don't really receive them. My dad is never around on my birthday so." "Hey." I grabbed his hand. "When your birthday?" "In like a month." "Okay good to know." "Oh I have another present, and this one is better I think." "Okay." He grabbed both my hands. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
