"What?" "They said it's not severe but, you have to start being careful." "Why did you wait so long to tell me?!" I turned and pushed him. "We weren't aloud to!" "Why? For what reason couldn't you tell me about something this serious?!" "Okay stop yelling for starters." "No people yell when their pissed and I'm pissed. I think you should go." "Your mom told me to give you a ride." "My mom doesn't get home till later today." "Yeah, she called me." That's just wrong. My mother has my crushes phone number. Good to know. I get in his Jeep, and we drive to school. "Wait why are we leaving so early? We still have an hour before school." "We are going to this little cafe that I found." "I just want to go to school Seb." "Well sorry for you then." We pull up to the cafe. I didn't realize how short I was till now. "Jesus Christ, this Jeep is tall." "Here I'll help you." He comes over and throws me over his shoulder. "What the hell are you doing? Put me down!" "Oh fine. Your welcome." "I'm not a rag doll." "You look like one." "Hey!"
We walk in and get seated. We order our food. About fifteen minutes later the waitress comes back with our food. "You two make such a cute couple." "Oh we're not." He kicks my leg. "Thank you. We sure do love each other." "Young love, so adorable." "Yeah so adorable. Thank you for the food." I give Seb a dirty look. "What the hell was that?" I punch him in the arm. "Um ow. Who cares in one persons thinks we're dating?" "It's a small town Seb, rumors spread." "Well what if." "What if what?" "What if when your not with Blake and I'm not with gigi. We pretend like we're dating. Just like a little joke." "It would make things around here a bit more interesting." "So?" "Fine." "Great there's a party this Friday, downtown. Everybody else from our school is going to Ian's party so, we could be the life of the party." Was his plan to show me off to people, or to make me fall for him and actually start dating him? Either way it didn't matter. This sounded fun.
We finished breakfast and went to school. "Have you talked to Blake since the party?" "Nope." "You really should." "I'm not talking to him. You saved me, again. Not him." "What do you mean again?" "Um nothing." We pull into the parking lot at school. He puts the car in park. "Again? I've never saved you like that before." "It's not important." I go to get out but he locks the doors. "I ain't unlocking these doors, till you spill." "School starts in five minutes Seb." "Then you better get to talking." "Fine I had a dream where you saved me from Blake. He was pressuring me and you came in and saved me, then we." "Then we what." I gave him that look. And he knew what I was talking about. "Oh. Oh!" "Yeah." "Well was it good?" "I don't know I woke up before I saw anything." Yet another big fat lie. "Well maybe someday we'll make that dream a reality." My face got hot and turned hot pepper red.
We walk into school and the whole groups sitting at my locker. "Hey there you guys are." Ian jumps up from out of no where and puts his arm around Sawyer. "Where were you guys?" "Um." I look at Seb. Should I tell Sawyer about The plan Seb and I made? "We went to go get breakfast." I pull Sawyer to the side. "Are you and Ian official?" "I guess. We've never said the words girlfriend and boyfriend. I don't think he really believes in labels." "Hey Say come here." Ian calls her over. "This is my baseball buddy, Jack. Jack this is my girlfriend Sawyer." I pull her over again. "So much for doesn't believe in labels." "Isn't she the one with the kid." "Yeah she is. He's a great kid, and he is probably smarter than you." The entire group breaks out laughing. "You didn't have to do that Ian." "Aaron the two year old is smarter than the senior Jack." "Well I gotta get to class, come on Julia." She grabs my hand and pulls me away. "Hold on." I run over to Seb, and give him a hug. "Thanks for breakfast." We walk to english.
"Dude what was that?" "What she gave me a hug and thanked me for breakfast. What was so wrong with that?" "It was like you two are dating." "But we're not. I have a girlfriend." "Yeah when are you gonna tell said girlfriend that your using her to make Julia jealous?" "That's not the only thing I'm using her for. I'm trying to get closure." "Dude we know you miss Sasha. But don't you love Julia?" "Of course I love Julia. But Sasha was the one person who understood me." "And now Julia's that person." "We knew everything two about each other." "Dude, what's Julia's favorite color?" "Oh yellow, cause yellow represents happiness and hope, everything she wants to put into the world." "What's her moms madden last name?" "It's Maxwell. Her mom didn't take her dads last name." "Last question, explain leukemia." " It's a malignant progressive disease in which the bone marrow and other blood-forming organs produce increased numbers of immature or abnormal leukocytes. These suppress the production of normal blood cells, leading to anemia and other symptoms." "Dude you know everything about each other." "I may know those things about her but she may no know those things about me."
"Dude she knows your McDonald's order." "So, that's easy all I get is a ten piece and a large fry." "She also knows your favorite football, basketball, and baseball teams." "That means nothing." "She knows your favorite flavor of chapstick." "Really?" "Yeah, pink lemonade." "She was wearing it the first time we kissed." "The first time? How many times have you really kissed?" "That's none of your business Julian. But to answer your question, one too many times for us both being in relationships." "Dude you better tell Gigi soon, cause eventually the snake has to learn to find it's prey, without the help of its mother." "English please Julian." "Mya will eventually look for answers herself." "Impossible." Ian jumps in. "Mya doesn't do anything, without having Gigi's permission." "Exactly, the snake will eventually find its own prey." "He's right I'll tell Gigi soon." "Or let Julia do it. She's a really honest person." "Do you like her Julian?" "I'm gay. There's a bigger chance of me liking one of you then ever liking her." "But you don't like on of us do you?" "No I'd rather lite myself on fire." "Do you have your eye on any guy." "That's for me to know, and for you not to." "Fine. We will just have to find out at spring fling here in a couple of months!"
