I wake up the next morning forgetting about what had happened yesterday. That was until I opened my door. "Hey Peach. Would you like a chance to explain yourself or just face your punishment?" "Mom she deserved it." "Peach if we beat up everyone that deserved it the entire world would have bruises." "Mom I've never done anything like this. I've always been a good and you tell me to stand up for myself and that's what I did." "Alright Peach no punishment, this time."
I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. It's Kara. "I told you to leave me alone Kara." "So your getting into fights now?" "How do you know that?" "It's everywhere. Snapchat, Instagram, it even came on my moms Facebook." "Why do you care?" "I still care about you Jules." "Yeah because I always tell my boyfriend who I care about that he's gonna drop dead." "You got a boyfriend?" "Yeah." "What happened to no dating in high school?" "We were in eighth grade when we made that promise. We were also best friends." "Jules maybe you should stop hanging out with Sawyer." "How do you know about Sawyer?" "Your mom told me." "I gotta go Kara, oh and next time you call me I'm blocking your number."
I run downstairs. "Your still not ready Peach? You have to leave for school in like fifteen minutes." "Why did you tell Kara about Sawyer? It's none of her business." "She was wondering how you were doing." "No Mom she was jealous, but she did this to herself." "I thought she was the one who was mad, not you?" "Um." "Peach what actually happened when you told her we're moving?" "She told me that I was gonna drop dead when we moved here." I was terrified to tell my mother the truth. My mother and I don't get along, but one thing we always agreed on is nobody deserves to die unless they have done bad things. "Oh Peach." She came over and gave me a hug. "We've already been here for almost two months. You have a great group of friends and a great boyfriend. We always knew Kara was jealous of you. She wants everything you have. We both know Karas' life isn't the best."
My mother had always been a great speaker. I wish she would use her talent for you know, a job. I get ready for school and begin my walk. I didn't know what would happen today. Would people look at me differently or praise me for dropping a house on the Wicked Witch? But when I walk into school no one cares. I guess it was a thing that happened a lot at this school. "Hey babe." Blake puts his arm around me. "How is everything?" He started walking me the opposite way of my locker. "What are you doing? I need to get my English notebook out of my locker." "Here I'll get it for you." "Blake I'm seventeen I can get in myself." I walk over to my locker. There's a group of people surrounding it. I push through the crowd to see a picture of yesterday's fight on my locker. On the picture it says "cancer rage."
"Cancer rage? I do not have cancer rage!" I rip the photo off my locker and grab my notebook. I run off into the abandoned hallway Seb had shown me. When I get down there Sebs there sitting on the ground. "Oh sorry." "No it's fine I was just getting ready to leave." "It's fine it's a long hallway, plenty of room for us both." I walk to the other end of the hallway. I get down on the floor, but my head between my knees, and cry. I try to stay silent but I can't. I begin to sob loudly, and Seb hears. "Jules? You okay?" I ignore him since we are supposed to not be talking. "Jules." He sits down beside me. "What happened?" "So you haven't seen?" "No I've been down here since I got to school." I undo the picture from the hall I had crumbled it in. "Cancer rage? Is that even a thing?" "Yes it is, but I don't have it."
"Then why did you attack her?" "Because she deserved it." "Yeah she did but no one else attacks her. Obviously something caused you to do it, maybe you do have cancer rage." "You know what Seb." I stand up. "Maybe you were right, maybe we shouldn't talk for awhile or maybe ever again." I run around the corner back up the stairs. "Jules wait. Shit. Nice going Sebastian you really did it now."
I ran to English cause thanks to Seb I was late, another thing to blame him for. I walk through the door and everyone turns to look at me. "Hello Ms. Maxwell. Lovely for you to join us." I bow cause I'm really done will Mrs. Williams shit. "My pleasure." "Please take your seat." I sit down by Sawyer but she looks mad at me. I lean over to her. "Are you okay?" "Why would you fight her? Do you know what she could do to you now?" "That's not why your mad. Seriously what's wrong?" "None of your business!" The whole class looks at us. After class I walk up to Ian to see if I can figure anything out. "Ian what's going on with Sawyer?" "It's his third birthday today. She just can't believe he is three already." "Who?" "Oh she hasn't told you yet? Um Sawyer has a son."
