"Blake. Hey." "Please just answer the question." "I don't know how I feel Blake. But I do love you." "Just not like you love Seb." "You could say that." "I should've known. You guys hooked up." "What! No we did not." "Come on Jules, I'm not stupid." "You sure about that? Seb and I did absolutely nothing, and for you to think that is just." "It's just the truth." "Blake, Seb and I didn't not hook up. In fact we never did anything but sleep in the same bed." "You guys hooked up." "No we didn't." "It's okay. I won't tell that many people." "Blake!" "No ones gonna think you're a hoe." I lifted my hand and slapped him across the face. "Um, ow." "Go ahead. Tell everybody, and watch Seb slowly ruin your life." "So y'all didn't do anything." "No. Seb and I are just friends. And I still want to go to the dance with you. But if that's what you think of me, then you can go to the dance with all your buddies." "I was just joking, you know?" "Jokes are meant to be funny." I walk away.
The next day at school, was interesting. I see Seb at the end of the hall. I run to him but he walks away before I get to him. "What the hell!" I see Sawyer and go to talk to her. "Hey, what's Sebs deal?" "Tonight's the art gallery, he's freaking out." "He shouldn't be, he's amazing." Jack walks up to us. "Of course you think he's amazing." "Excuse me?" "I bet Seb is amazing at other things too." Holy shit. "Seb and I didn't do anything." "Right. Also have y'all seen Julian anywhere?" Sawyer jumps in. "Why do you want to know Jack?" "I have to ask him a question, about the dance." "He's in the bathroom." "Wait are they dating?" "No they're going to the Dance together." "Jack is." "Bisexual." "Right. Um I gotta go." I walk to find Blake. When I find him he's at his locker. I run up and slam it shut. "Hello to you to." "Rumours spread like a wildfire. I thought you would know that." "What do you mean?" "You told people Seb and I hooked up." "No I didn't." "Please tell me then, who did?" "Do I really need to answer that question?" I run to the girls bathroom, cause I know she's in there. "Gigi!" "Oh hey Julia." "Out of all the people at this school, you would be the one person I would think would never spread a rumour like that." "Come on Julia, it was a joke." "Yeah well it was such a funny one, it's so funny to say things about someone. This isn't some rumour about a fight. This is serious. I thought you would understand but no, now everyone thinks I'm easy, and that I'm a slut." "Julia I-." "No, you don't get to explain yourself. I have to go." I run out of the bathroom.
Running down the empty hallways, I felt as if I was running to something. I don't know what, or who. But wherever or whoever I was running to, was far away. While running I trip over something. I fall to the floor. "Damn it." "Jules are you okay?" I look up to see Seb. I had tripped over Seb. "What's going on?" "You haven't heard?" "I haven't really been listening to anyone today. What's going on?" "I don't know, ask your girlfriend." I run to class since I'm already late. The rest of the day felt like I was running through concrete. But once the day was over, I still couldn't escape my nightmares. When I got home I did my best to just relax. But no matter what I did I couldn't stop thinking about how many people probably thought badly of me. I thought being the girl with cancer was bad. But now everyone thinks I'm easy. I was laying down, face drowning in my pillow when I heard a knock on my window. I look up, and Seb is outside. "Wow thanks for knocking, so polite." "Okay so I heard. I also pushed several people into lockers." "Why?" "Gigi is the one who told Blake. That's why he said everything he said in the hospital. But then Gigi told Cameron and Cameron told Jack and so on." My phone buzzes. "Who's that?" "Another guy thinking he can get in my pants." "Jules, I know this sucks." "Really? Cause it doesn't seem to phase you. It's almost like you're okay with the rumour." "Of course I'm not." "People are congratulating you while they're slut shaming me. Such a win, win situation." "Listen we can finish this later, but I gotta go. The art gallery starts in an hour. See you there?" "Of course." He climbs out the window.
I never really got art. Like painting something or someone, doesn't seem quite as fun as punching a wall. When the group walks in we see hundreds of people. I get why Seb was so nervous, this not only was his chance to show off his work, but this was a chance to show colleges how amazing he is. "Hey guys, where's Seb?" "He's over at the snack table. Freaking out." "I'll be right back." I walk over to Seb as he's shoving a mini cupcake down his throat. "Hey Jules, you what one?" "All yours." He sets down his cup. "I've never been this nervous in my life." "Being nervous just means you know you're amazing. If you think you did bad you wouldn't be nervous." "Nice pep talk." "Seb, you know that no matter what happens I love you, right?" "Yeah I know. You know when you came into my life I didn't think you would be important. But now, I can't imagine a world without you." "Well better get to imagining, cause someday I'll be gone." "Like I said, we're immortal." I walk away from him to look at the art. I walk over to the group. We hear people talking over by a painting. "The girl in this painting looks familiar." "Yeah I know. Wait its, Julia." I look up. We all start walking to the paining. "Wow Jules, someone painted you." I continue looking at the painting. "Who would paint you?" I look at the artist name. "Sebastian James."
