Today's the day. The day where I leave everything behind and forget. "You ready Julia." "Yeah I guess." "You can't stay mad at me forever Peach, we have a forty-three hour drive ahead of us and your driving for some of it." "I thought we agreed that just because I have my permit does not mean I should be aloud to drive. Last time I drove I hit five trash cans and a cat." "We can't take the risk of me and your father falling asleep at the wheel." "Maybe it's for the best, take us out of our misery." "Oh don't act so depressed Peach." "Maybe I am depressed." "Nope you're the happiest Peach I know." "I'm the only Peach you know, cause you don't have any friends." "Neither do you."
"Alright girls the moving truck is gone. And now its our turn." "Come on Peach, let's say goodbye to the house." "I think I'm just gonna go wait in the car." "You don't wanna say goodbye to the house?" "Saying goodbye is just another way of saying you're letting go. So if you don't want to let go, don't say goodbye." I walk out to the car knowing that I'll never step foot in that house again.
My mom was an orphan from the time she was born till she was fourteen. Then she met my dad in school and they just clicked. He taught her how to drive, cook, do her laundry. So everything she's bad at now. Without my dad my mom would be most likely dead. But then again my dad is the only reason she acts the way she does.
About ten minutes later they came out of the house and got in the car. "Have fun saying goodbye to the house?" "Yes it was a blast." We drove and drove and drove until the day had ended. We stopped at our first stop to sleep. I couldn't even close my eyes without thinking about what Kara said. She was right even though I wish she wasn't.
I wake up the next morning with seven missed calls from Kara. I walk into the bathroom and call her back. "Hey." "What do you want Kara?" "I saw the car pull out of the drive way, I figured you guys left." "Wow great assumption. Is that all? Okay bye now." "Wait Jules, just let me explain. Everyday since we met I was scared that I would lose you. So when you told me you were moving I just said how I felt." "You felt like I was gonna drop dead?" "Yes, no! That's not what I meant." "Then what did you mean Kara? Did you mean to say heads up your gonna die soon? Well guess what one day we will all die, you included. And who knows you could die tomorrow." "Why would you say that?" "Ask yourself that. You know Kara you're a real bitch. And I can't believe I thought you were different. But no. Don't get to attached to the sick girl, cause soon she'll drop dead. Goodbye Kara." "Jules wait."
