"Kia, stop for a second." Brian said, holding an arm in front of me.
I let out a long sigh, but did stop walking. We turned to face each other. Brian looked at me seriously, scanning my arms.
"You're hurt." He frowned, pointing at the red marks on my arms.
"I'm fine." I assured him.
"From one human being to another, just tell me if you're in pain." He said softly.
"I'm a little sore. And shoeless. I will be fine." I smirked.
"You're really worried about your shoes? Come on, quit dicking me around." He glared.
"Fine. My arms are kind of sore, but I will be alright. That better?" I asked.
"Yes. Thank you. Was that so difficult?" He smiled.
"You're pushing your fucking luck with me." I snarled, walking away.
Brian let out a growl, but fell into step beside me. We entered the house to see the giant buffet of food that had been prepared. I'm really not hungry after all of this. But, if I don't put something on my plate, it will get back to my mother.
"Jesus fucking christ, this is a ton of food." Brian whispered, staring at it.
"All homemade. She doesn't believe in getting takeout." I said, dropping an enchilada on my plate.
Brian looks like he is in heaven. I snickered as he piled his plate as high as it would go. I strolled past him and found a small table that had been set up for people to eat at. No worries, Brian was quickly sitting down across from me.
"Why do they call you Chiquita banana?" He asked.
"Why do you call yourself Synyster Gates?" I shot back.
Brian laughed and continued eating. I'm positive the man hasn't had a decent meal in years from all the noises he is making as he eats. I found it amusing, but wasn't about to let on that I did. I pushed around the cut up pieces of food on my plate.
"How the fuck are you not eating?" He asked, eating a taco.
"Did you not just see what happened? I lost my appetite." I said, shoving my plate to the side.
"Ex boyfriend?" He asked me.
"No." I replied, not wanting to discuss this with him.
"You said you aren't a one night stand kind of girl. Oh my god! Is that what all that was?" He smirked.
"Did you eat a lot of paint chips as a child?" I asked.
"Nope. You don't want to like me, but I am wearing you down." He smiled slyly.
"You're a miserable asshole." I glared.
"Sweetie, I'm more than aware of this. Just like you know that you're a giant pain in the ass." He smiled happily.
"What do you want, Brian?" I sighed.
"I told you. I wanted to apologize. I was a total dick to you every chance we met. What you said to me last night? Remember? The lecture you gave me? Well, you were right. I have no problems admitting that." He shrugged.
"I'm not fucking you or any of your friends." I glared.
"Well, technically, you kinda wanted to bone Matt. Right?" He asked.
"God, you're a dick." I snarled.
"But am I wrong?" He smiled.
"Actually, you are." I stated.
