Brian has been acting weird for the past week. I know they have a lot going on with an upcoming tour, but the man is dust in the wind. He's gone all of the time anymore. I've hardly seen him. Hell, I've seen Zack and Jimmy more than I have my own boyfriend who lives with me.
And texting? Normally, the man is constantly texting me when we are apart. But this past week or so, it's been radio silence. This morning, I woke up to an empty house. It's Sunday. He never does anything on Sundays. Sighing to myself, my eyes gazed across the street to Matt and Alaina's house.
Wait a minute....Matt.
If there is one person on this planet who can not lie or cover up for someone, it's Matt Sanders. Smirking to myself, I slipped on my shoes. I'm getting answers, and I'm getting them from Matt.
I walked across the street and up the driveway. I know Matt is home. His car is in the driveway. May God have mercy on his soul if he chooses not to answer the door. I rang the bell and waited.
The door flew open, and I watched Matt freeze when he saw me. At least I know I'm on the right track for getting answers. Matt's response was enough to tell me he knew something. I smiled kindly at him.
"Uh, hey, Kia." Matt said nervously.
"Hey, Matt." I smiled.
Matt shifted awkwardly in the doorway. God, I love this.
"Um, Alaina went out for a bit. I'll tell her you stopped by." He said quickly.
"I'm here to see you, actually." I grinned.
"Huh? Why?" He almost yelled.
Alaina always said his voice goes up a notch or two when he's been cornered. I see she is correct.
"Have you seen Brian?" I asked.
"He.. he's at his dad's house, I think." He stuttered.
"Uh huh. I see." I nodded.
"Say, Matt." I said, watching him shift his weight on his feet. "You wouldn't happen to know if Brian is avoiding me, would you?"
"Why would I know?" He asked with wide eyes.
My eyes narrowed at Matt. Matt wiped the small beads of sweat that had started on his forehead. Now, I'm pissed. Brian and Matt obviously know something. Johnny, Zack, and Jimmy apparently do not know what's going on with Brian, as they've hardly seen him as well. But Matt has seen Brian. This I'm aware of from what Alaina has said.
"What the fuck are you hiding?" I demanded.
"Jesus, girl!" Matt groaned. "Nothing!"
"Bullshit! Get your ass in the car." I growled, grabbing the front of his shirt.
"Hey!" Matt glared, shoving my hand away. "This shirt cost me a lot."
"Matthew, if you don't get your giant ass in my car, I'm going to call Alaina, and there will be zero "sexy time" for you." I warned, watching him cringe.
"I...please don't do that." He whined. "And my ass isn't big!"
"Then get in the car." I growled.
"Kia, I think this is between you and Brian." He said, closing the door.
"You obviously know something, such as where he is at the moment. That's more than I fucking know." I snapped, getting in my car.
Matt got in the car and let out a loud sigh as I pulled away. I'm irritated. Really irritated. Brian has hardly spoken to me at all lately. When I do see him, he's quick to get away from me. If this asshole doesn't want to be with me, then I have the right to know. I glanced at Matt, who is now rather miserable riding in my car.
