"Brian? Is Kia ok? Was she...was she." Zack stopped talking and shook his head.
He isn't the only one who can't say that one word. I feel physically sick to my stomach after hearing and seeing what I did tonight. My anger is boiling, but I have to put it on the back burner for the time being. My only concern is Kia right now.
"We can talk in a bit. I need to put her to bed." I said quietly.
Kia had been so distraught, that she fell asleep in my lap. I looked down at her. Her face had streaks of smeared makeup down her cheeks. Her right cheek was slightly swollen with a small bruise forming. Her perfectly manicured nails had chipped nail polish and a few broken nails. The tops of her hands had scrapes with some dried blood on them. Her beautiful smooth brown hair was wet and matted around her face.
And don't even get me started on how the rest of her looked.
Jesus christ, I've never seen anyone so scared in my entire life. Her body physically shook in fear. When she first sat in my lap, I could feel her vibrating from shaking so badly.
Her skirt was ripped, along with her blouse. Somehow she lost both of her shoes in all of this. Her knees and legs we scraped to hell. She looked like She had been in the fight of her life, and I guess she was. It was sickening to me.
The second I had pulled into my driveway tonight, I knew something terrible had happened. Kia was limping her way up the driveway in the pouring rain. She never even batted an eye when I called her name. Hell, she didn't even tell me to go fuck myself. I knew when that didn't happen, something was more than a little wrong.
"Want me to carry her?" Matt offered.
"No. Thanks though." I said, standing with her in my arms.
I carried her to her bedroom and laid her down gently on the bed. I wasn't about to change her clothes after what had transpired this evening. I didn't want her scared anymore, and I sure as hell didn't want her feeling uncomfortable either. Instead, I pulled off my hoodie and carefully pulled it over her. Kia never moved when I did this. She was in such a deep sleep.
I made sure the blanket Matt had given her was securely wrapped around her. I didn't want her to feel exposed in any way at all. I finished covering her up, then headed to grab a washcloth from the bathroom. Carefully, I tended to her wounds and wiped away all the dirt until she was clean. Carefully, I brushed her hair and pulled it back into a ponytail. It had bothered me so much seeing her this way. Kia is a very classy person. Not slutty. Classy.
Gently, I brushed the few loose hairs away from her face. Watching her sleep and knowing she was hurt, pissed me off all over again.
Sighing, I left a small lamp on in her room before I went to see Zack and Matt. I closed the door quietly behind me.
Zack and Matt waited anxiously on the couch for me. I sat down in an over stuffed chair and sighed.
"What the hell happened?" Matt demanded.
"That motherfucker almost raped her." I growled.
Zack cracked his neck. Matt's left eye twitched when he clenched his jaw. My fists clenched until my knuckles were white.
"I'm gonna kill him." I seethed.
"We don't even know who he is." Zack pointed out.
"I bet it's in her cellphone." Matt said, tossing me her purse.
"I can't go through her private property man." I sighed.
"This situation is different. Yes, you can. Do it, or I will." Zack snapped at me.
