I'm Over It

When they walked into his house Gabriel was standing at the top of the steps.

"Marinette I presume." She didn't know what to think. She's never met him in person so she was freaking out. Adrien could tell she was getting scared and moved closer to her. (HOW DID SHE NOT MEET HIM- Wiktoria)(Because Adrien didn't want her to meet him-Emma)

"Y-" Adrien cut her off before she could say anything.

"Don't father." He knew what his father was doing and he didn't want Marinette to freak out more.

"What? I can't know who is staying in my house?"

"Not right now father, it's been a long day." He took Marinette's hand and brought her up the stairs, passing Gabriel on the way up. Once they got to Adrien's room Marinette relaxed a little.(uuuu, smut?😏- wiktoria)

"I'll be right back, I have to talk to him. Don't hurt yourself please."

"I won't." He nodded at her answer and walked out of the room.

"Adrien, you shouldn't talk like that to me."

"Look father, I'm grateful that you've changed about your protection around me."

"You can thank Natalie, not me." He was getting annoyed that Natalie was letting him do anything he wanted. Natalie would tell him that Adrien would sneak out anyway or not come home from school so there was no point in forcing him. He still wanted to keep the same rules that he had before but knew Natalie was right.  ( She's JuSt aN aSiStAnt- wiktoria)

"Okay, don't interrogate her please. Too much has happened over the past couple of days."

"You can't tell me what to do Adrien, you know how this works. Do I need to go back to the past ways?" Adrien knew what he meant. When he was younger if he didn't listen he would be beaten.

"Sorry father." He didn't want to think about the past. His father asked several questions as to why he was so protective over Marinette. He just made up lies as he didn't want his father to know what really happened to her. After 15 minutes he was able to get away from his father. When he got into his room he saw Marinette looking out his window with headphones on. He walked up behind her and hugged her.

"I'm here." He could tell she was still crying. She turned around to hug him back. He moved her hair and kissed her forehead.

Unknowingly Gabriel was standing outside his room looking in at them. For a minute he felt bad about whatever happened. He knew that what Adrien told him was a lie. There was more to this story. Natalie had told him what happened a few weeks ago with the whole Luka situation and Adrien leaving his photoshoot. He saw his son happy and for a moment, smiled himself. He knew he was hard on him but he had to. He had to keep his son safe and under his control. He walked away closing the door, feeling guilty about what he did in the past but quickly shook the thought out of his mind. He had a reason and would stand by it. He wanted to know what was up with Marinette and why Adrien was so protective over her.

Marinette pulled away from the hug and made eye contact with him. He could see that her eyes were red and puffy. He knew he was right that she was crying. He used his thumb to wipe off the tears from her face.

"I'm done with this Adrien, I want to move on from the past." The only way for her to get better was to move on and stop thinking about it.

"I'll help you Mari, you just need to talk to me okay or at least talk to a specialist." She knew that if she did that then thousands of questions would be thrown at her.

"I don't want to talk to anyone about it. I just want to forget it." She was sick of people telling her to just 'talk it out'.

"Marinette, that's not healthy and you know that!"
