A New Path

A Few Weeks Later

"Mamá and Papa, i have something to tell you."

"Oh no." She got scared of what it was. Tom felt as if he knew what she was going to say but kept his mouth shut until he told them.

"I'm not going to UOF for baking. I was accepted into fashion design and I took the acceptance." The truth was, she was denied from the baking program but she didn't want to say it. Tom was super happy but Sabine was the opposite. She taught her daughter from a young age that she was to become a baker like her.

"Marinette!" She knew her mom would be upset but not this upset. The reason she didn't get in was because they felt as if it was an easy way into school because of her parents. They wanted to give her a challenge so when they found out she did fashion designs, through Adrien, they offered her a spot in the arts department and she gladly took it.

"Mamá, this is my dream that I want to do. I will do baking on the side but it's not what I want to do as a career."

"Marinette! We set you up with everything that you needed to go into bakery, not fashion."

"Well sorry I'm just a disappointment for following what I love to do and what my dream is! I'm leaving for the night! I can't be here right now."

"Sabine, it's what she wants okay? Let her be happy." She just huffed and walked off.

Marinette's POV

I had to leave my house, my mom had no right to say that. I love designing and that's what I want to do. But no, she wanted me to become a baker like them. Maybe that's not the life I want. I love baking but it's not my passion, designing is. I sent a quick text to Adrien telling him I'd be there soon. I transformed and made my way to Adrien's place. I had to leave.

When I got there I saw that his window was open and I jumped in.

"What's wrong Mari?" He was waiting for me and saw the tears in my eyes.

"My mom, we got into a fight about the school I'm going to." He grabbed her and pulled her into a hug.

"It's okay, I have you." He noticed that she was still transformed but didn't say anything. He motioned for Plagg to go over and lock the door.

"Don't cry princess. I'm here." I just cried into his shoulder before realizing that I was still Ladybug.

"Spots off." I heard Tikki laugh when she saw Plagg, those two were really close as well. I heard a knock on the door.

"Adrien? Your father wants to talk with you for a minute."

"Uh sure....I'll be right back princess." I nodded back and watched as he left his room.

Adrien's POV

I didn't want to leave her but no one knew she was here.

"Father? You needed to talk with me?"

"Yes, with college coming up so soon I think it's time we look into in housing."

"Oh uh. I was wondering that uh since Mari will be going to the same school-"

"Oh, what's she going in for?"

"Fashion design. I've seen her works and it's pretty good."

"I'd love to see it one day. So what were you wondering?" How was I going to ask my father that I want to get an apartment with Mari. A couple months ago he didn't approve of her and I still don't know if he does.
