Marinette's POV

I remember waking up without Adrien there. There wasn't a note or anything. He was just gone. I got up to call out for him but something stopped me, I wasn't sure what it was but it was a gut feeling. He was probably fine anyways right? I carefully put the cover back over me and tried to go back to sleep. It felt like hours had passed before I finally got up and started walking around our new place. I wasn't sure where each room was so I wondered until I found our bathroom. It still felt like a dream that we were finally living together. I didn't care that we haven't been together long, we've known each other our entire lives.

Not too long after I finished up in the bathroom I heard a knock at the front door. It was only 9am so who would be at the door now? On a Saturday? People normally sleep in on the weekends but not this person. I walked to the door and looked outside the peep hole but no one was there. I unlocked the first door and slowly opened it. I kept the screen door closed and locked just in case someone was waiting there for me. When I looked down I saw a note on the ground.

"You left some lose strings." -L

No, it can't be. We got all his friends. They're all in jail aren't they? Luka was dead and everyone in contact with him were taken care of. Someone has to be messing with me. I quickly closed the front door and locked it before running back up to my room. I still haven't heard or seen Adrien anywhere and I was starting to get worried. I checked my phone to see no messages from anyone. Alya was supposed to text me last night but I fell asleep before she was supposed to. There still weren't any messages from here which is unlike her. I opened my phone to send a message to make sure everything was okay. She was probably still asleep but it's nice to know someone's looking out for you. Before turning off my phone I sent a message to Adrien asking where he was. I got no reply so I walked into our bedroom to find another note sitting there. I dropped my phone and it shattered. How could someone have gotten into our house? It was locked on all entrances. We made sure of it. I walked up to the note and it read:

"You can't get rid of me yet." -F

Felix was gone? He was sent off to Europe for rehab wasn't he? His sentence must have been shorter or he pulled some strings to get out. Why can't everyone just leave me alone and let me be happy? This must just be someone playing with me. Just then I heard the front door open and Adriens voice filled the house. I quickly hid the note in my pocket before walking down to him. The minute I saw him I ran into his arms.

"Marinette? What's wrong?" Didn't he understand? He was gone when I woke up and didn't text or anything!

"You were gone! I had no idea where you went or anything!" He just hugged me tighter and apologized, he thought he'd be back before I woke up. He never mentioned a note at the front door so someone or the wind must have moved it. Once I let him go he held up a bag. It was a new cage for our hamster Owen. He must have gone just before the store opened so he could surprise me with it. He grabbed my hand and pulled me upstairs to our room where someone was sitting on the bed. Adrien didn't seem to notice he was there but I did. Something was off. Adrien was acting weird and these notes just appeared out of nowhere. But before I could give it more thought I turned around and Adrien was gone into the bathroom, not noticing I stopped walking. Leaving me with this stranger staring at me from the bed. I was frozen in fear, unsure of what to do until someone grabbed my waist and I screamed.

"Mari, what's going on with you today?" It was just Adrien. I looked back at our room and no one was there. Maybe I'm just imagining things due to the pregnancy.

"I'm just really tired. I think I'll have a nap." He nodded and watched as I walked into our bedroom. I took a quick look around and every window was still locked. No one was in the room ever. I laid down on the bed and closed my eyes. Before I knew it I was out cold.
