Better

The Next Morning

Adrien woke up before Mari and pulled out his phone to check the time. It was only 6 am so they would have to wake up soon anyway. He didn't want to wake her up but he had to move soon so that he could go to school. He thought his movement woke her up and he felt bad for a moment but she sat up, holding her stomach. 

"You okay Mari?"

"Yeah, yeah. I'm o-okay." He didn't want her to be sick anymore. He hated that she felt like this. His phone chimed letting him know that the school would be closed today. He was happy that he could spend more time with Mari since his photoshoots are scheduled for after school.

"I'm feeling better than I was yesterday."

"I'm glad! Maybe we can sleep in a bed tonight." He joked.

"I would like a shower first though but not right now. I still need to see how long I can last without puking." She tapped his nose and almost leaned in to kiss him but remembered that she was still sick.

"I don't know, taking care of you is pretty fun."

"Haha very funny, I want to get out of this bathroom. Movie?" He nodded and helped her up. They walked out and went over to her bed. She flopped onto her bed while Adrien pulled out her laptop from her desk. He came up to her bed and sat down beside her. She took her laptop from him and opened up Netflix. They were looking at a lot of the movies until they settled on one. Mari put her laptop in front of them and then curled up into Adrien.

About halfway through the movie Mari fell back asleep. He wrapped his arms around her as she moved closer subconsciously. Sabine had come up to check how Mari was feeling.

"Mari?" She looked into the bathroom and didn't see her there. She assumed that Mari must have gone back to her room. When she walked into her room she saw that Mari and Adrien were both there.

"Is she still asleep?" She noticed that Adrien was awake.

"Yeah she fell back asleep. She slept through the whole night."

"Did you?"

"Yea I did." She was glad that they both had a good night's rest. She was happy to see that Mari wasn't in her bathroom anymore. She waved to Adrien and went back downstairs. About an hour later Mari woke up feeling like she was going to puke again.

"Everything okay Mari?" She shook her head and Adrien knew what she meant by that. He looked around her room and saw her empty garbage can. He got up and grabbed it for her so that she could still stay in bed.

"Here, just in case." He passed it over to her and sat back down. She wanted to ask him to rub her back again, it's helped every time she felt like puking again but she was scared too.

"Thanks." She took the garbage can from him and set it down beside her. Without even asking Adrien moved closer and rubbed her back again. He knew that it was helping so he would do it whenever she wanted him to. He could tell that she liked this.

"Mari, you can just ask if you want me to do this."

"Wouldn't it be weird?"

"Nope. I'd do it anytime." He kissed her cheek and went back to rubbing her back.

"I love you Kitty."

"I love you to bugaboo."

After a bit, the nausea faded and she leaned back into Adrien. His phone went off with a text from Natalie. When he looked at the message Natalie had told him that since the school was closed today his photoshoots got bumped up. She also told him that Gorilla would be at Marinette's place soon to pick him up.
