Alya Knows

When they walked into the bakery Sabine stopped everything and just ran to Mari. Tom didn't notice until Sabine dropped her whisk.

"Marinette!" She ran over to her daughter and pulled her into a hug. Shortly after her dad did the same.

"Where did you go?" Tom sounded worried.

"I'm sorry, I just needed to get away from everything for a while." Both her parents knew that when they forced her to eat and take that test that it would make her leave. They didn't think that she would just run away, they thought she'd go to his house again.

"I think I'll leave you guys be." Adrien started to turn around but Tom stopped him. As Marinette motioned for her dad to do so.

"Adrien you're not going home, not after what you told me." She broke out of her mom's hug.

"What happened?" Sabine was confused.

"Oh, I was just in a fight with my father. Nothing unusual." They both shook their heads at his response.

"You're welcome here anytime dear. Marinette, do you want some supper?" She thought about it for a second and Adrien moved up to place an arm around her waist. He knew that she didn't like to be forced to eat so he was letting her know he was there.

"Yeah, sure." She knew that if she went back down this path that she would become too weak to be Ladybug. She knew that because last time she did this she wasn't strong enough to stop Luka. Everyone was surprised at her answer but didn't say anything. She wasn't sure herself if she wanted to eat but did it anyway.

After supper she checked her phone to see a message from Alya.

<Alya> I am coming over tomorrow and we are going to talk about something.

<Mari> Uh okay, what's wrong? She didn't get another response and she got scared. She could tell something was wrong because she only did this when she was mad. She saw that it was almost 9 and she was getting pretty tired.

"I'm going to sleep Mama, goodnight." She said before grabbing Adrien and pulled him to the stairs.

"Good night you two!" Tom yelled up as they walked up the stairs. Marinette rolled her eyes as Adrien laughed.

"Something's wrong with Alya, she's mad but I don't know why and it's stressing me out. That's why I wanted to leave the room. She's coming here tomorrow to talk about it."

"Oh Mari, don't worry about it for now. That's for tomorrow." He grabbed her and pulled her into a hug. When she broke away he cupped his hand under her chin. He tilted her head up and pressed a light kiss to her lips.

"I need to shower, I feel yucky." He thought about whether he should say something or not. The last time he was with her she had a panic attack so he wasn't sure. He chose not to say anything and just let her go. She started to walk away but realized he had his thinking face on.

"What?" She could tell he was lost in thought again.

"Nothing."

"What, does someone not want me to shower?" She was trying to tease him. She wanted to figure out what he was thinking. She was pretty sure she knew what he was thinking but she wanted to get it out of him.

"Well I don't want to be alone." He said with a slight blush. She walked over to him and put her arms around his neck.

"Mhm." She pushed herself away from him and walked towards her bathroom. He was hesitant to say anything because he knew what was on her side and he wasn't sure if he was ready to see it.
