Unexpected

The day, July 16

Adrien woke up before Marinette did and he used that to his advantage. He got up and made a couple calls to some other friends. He wanted as many people at the well as possible, he also had to tell his father he was even proposing.

~Hey Kim, it's Adrien. You have more numbers from school than I do.

~Yeah what's up?

~Well, I'm proposing to Mari and I want you guys there. You all have played an important part of Marinette's life. Tonight at the wishing well.

~No way! I know the place, it was her favorite spot for like years. She wouldn't shut up about it. I'll make sure to get everyone there, don't worry.

~Thank you Kim. I'm glad you changed your ways around her.

~Of course, after seeing what happened when I had to bring her to that place made me decide to keep her safe and close, but from a distance. I need to head out but don't worry about anything else.

~I'm forever grateful that you helped her out back there, thank you again. See you later tonight.

Just like that another thing was taken care of. Now all he needed to do was talk with his father. Even if he said no he would do it anyway. He decided that it would be better to tell him in person so he left a note for Mari on her bedside table and headed home.

When he got to his house he took a deep breath in and walked into his home.

"Father?"

"Yes? I didn't expect you back so soon." He knew that Adrien would want to stay longer at her place since she was gone for 2 weeks.

"I'm going back there in a bit, I just needed to talk to you about something I probably should have told you sooner. I'm going to propose to Marinette tonight, I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner." For a minute he thought his father would be mad, judging by his face.

"That's amazing, I can't believe you're actually growing up. How are you planning on doing it?" He wasn't ready to just let his son leave but he didn't really have a choice. He knew one day he would leave his care.

"Thank you father." He started telling him his plans as Natalie walked in. He told Natalie what was going on and she was over the moon excited. After he was done explaining he realized that he should probably get back to Marinette. He told his father and Natalie where he was going to do it and the time. They both nodded and waved goodbye as he walked out of the front door.

Marinette woke up to see that Adrien wasn't there. She looked beside her and saw the note that he left her.

I'll be back soon princess, I went to go talk with my father and make a couple phone calls. I'll be back hopefully before you wake up but if not I'll be back right away.

She smiled at the note and got up. She went into her bathroom and started brushing her hair when she felt a wave of nausea hit her. She tried to ignore it and went on with brushing her teeth.

Adrien walked up to see that she was in the bathroom getting ready and walked in to see her. The minute he walked in she moved over to her toilet and puked. He ran over to her and started rubbing her back like last time.

"I forgot how sick I get on my period." She looked over at him and just gave him a smile.

"Will you be okay?" She nodded her head as she got up, walking back over to her sink to finish brushing her teeth. Once she was done they both headed downstairs to get breakfast, or rather lunch as Marinette had slept in really late. Later than she normally does.
